Amazing detail on this, very helpful for when I get to building the 18 stall house for my layout. I do hope you will share or sell the detail parts you used in this build.
Fantastic job, watching this reminds me why I have a stack of these models unopened sitting in a closet, a whole lot of work to make it end up looking like it does on the outside of the box.
Sorry you had so much trouble with craft paint. Micro Mark makes some nice straining funnels that will take out the lumps that clog the airbrush. If that doesn't fix it, you might try thinning with a flow aid and medium. These will slow the drying time which can reduce buildup on the airbrush needle. Nice work on the roundhouse - the lighting is really well done.
nice work, I really like the detail you added to the basic kit. I too would be interested in the "shop parts". I have a the same roundhouse and would like to detail the inside, though I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of tools and machines were in the old roundhouses.
I just made general machine shop tools, nothing railroad specific. This link has information on what goes in a shop towards the end, a roundhouse would likely have somewhere between nothing and this level of tools in it, depending on the line and what else was in the vicinity. babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=wu.89089676290&seq=822
Yes, resin. FDM is too difficult to get good details in. I'm waiting for someone to invent a variable nozzle FDM printer, then I can ditch the resin :)
