It's a massive vehicle by Speed Champions standards, this 9 wide beast was actually quite a fun build, lots of nice details and finally the designers used a better steering wheel.
Not too many stickers which is good, and nice printed elements for the headlights.
While I really like this model, i think it looks more like the hummer than the G wagon so might need some mods in the future.

Great review John, I really loved this, the build was more like a mini creator than a speed champions. Details were awesome, this with the SL coming in at over 800 pieces at €50 is probably one of there best double packs imho. PS I think that colour is called pearl grey.

Thanks you’re right, it was a step up for speed champions. But I think it was odd that the two cars were such different scales the SL is about 1:29 and the G wagon is close to 1:25 scale. Also looks a bit more like a hummer than a g wagon.

Hi John, thank you for this video! Ha, yesterday I finished building this model, I was impressed by the unusual way the chassis was put together, all in all a very satisfying building experience and great looking car once finished. I am looking forward to your eventual improvements, I also wonder if it’s possible to make doors that you can open without messing up the design too much 😊

Greetings from Russia! I want to buy a Lego speed champions set, but I can't decide which to buy. Which set is better 76922 or 76924?

They are so different from each other. I think for the building experience the 76924 gives you more, two total different builds, even different scales. There are some great parts in the set too, lots of 1x5 plates if you like modifying your builds there is a lot of scope. But i like the BMW pair, two race cars, I did modify mine though.

When i put the pieces on the back i used the stud rather than offset by half a brick which is required. Easy fix once i realised.

@@adamtrinchetto4508 the stud is there bit sticking up on the plate or brick. the jumper plates have a stud in the middle and there is an indentation in the middle of the stud so you can offset the piece by ½ a stud

@@adamtrinchetto4508 Have a look at the lego manual, it starts with stage 54 on page 56, you can see that the plate should be offset by ½ stud, (this was my mistake). if you get that one right then the rest falls into place. Good luck
