BUILD: Painting Baby Groot (3d printed from Thingiverse) 

This was probably the first model I've painted in around 25 years so all in all, I'm pretty happy with how he came out.
Firstly let me say this isn't my model, I downloaded it from Thingiverse here www.thingivers... this video is just the painting process. I first added several light layers of Rustoleum filler primer (spraypaint), then handpainted with "Raw Umber" acrylic paint as a base. This was followed by hitting the high spots with "Model Masters 1735 Wood" and then a dray brushing of "Model Masters 1736 Leather" to bring the town back to a more mottled reddish brown wood grain look. Next, I airbrushed some "Candy2o Poison Green" to really sell the plantlike look. The moss is a model grass material used it designing scenery for model trains and was applied by brushing on some plain Elmer's "white" glue in the appropriate areas and dusting the glue with the model grass. The final step was just to paint the eyes with some "Testors Glass Black" and he was all finished.
