The worst feeling is when a salesperson uses rapport techniques to make you feel like a friend and once you tell them you wont be closing a deal today or you cant or other reasons, they shift from being friendly to completely ignorant and a feeling of disgust. I've always followed up with rapport and try to just close a sale but make sure that they really got what they wanted and follow up. Making sure that they are completely satisfied with their experience whether its a car, a book, a coffee mug, a cellphone, a real estate deal, a company acquisition, always remain friendly because you never know the day the person will be able to afford the purchase and the first person they will or will not think about is you. delayed gratification always works for deals. build rapport now to close a deal later. control your expectations. Dont expect to close a deal with everybody. but when those who finally are about to acquire something, they'll run after you. We all want to be seen, heard, and remembered... tips and tricks for you guys.

I think that points with the breathing and tonality especially are linked to having a similar energy (not in a weird spiritual sense). I noticed, that when someone is way more energetic than I, they are less likely to keep talking, etc. When it's vise versa, they are less likely to listen.

Hi Shane I really enjoyed this video, now I had no idea, about that breathing Technique or the Blinking technique in forming a repore with a customer. All in my life of working in the co operate industry have I heard the words mentioned process of responses Mirror & Match Physiology, and would not have known about this technique, Shane, if you have not given me that opportunity to watch this video. I am curious Shane, what if the client has an anxious demeanour therefore breathing & blinking pattern is fast & stressed , is it better to try using more of a relaxed breath & blinking to have them get calmer & end up following you while still using tone etc similar? Or does that create more distance? Thank you

In this case try to build more rapport and connection with him/her by Listening to his/her Problems very seriously and attentively... and provide him/her solutions with a way more relaxed breath and blinking, doing this will calm him down and will make him have stronger connection with you,,follow tony robbins for more,etc
