What are you smoking, Nvidia? 312mm x 155mm x 50mm is SFF?! Zotac 1080 Ti MINI : 211mm x 125mm x 41mm EVGA 3060 Ti XC: 202mm x 111mm x 41mm MSI RTX 4060 Low Profile: 182mm x 69mm x 41mm Let's get back to those dimensions, please. The only card in your lineup with the "SFF" title is the RTX 4000 SFF ADA (168mm x 69mm x 41mm). Feed it 140W, with better cooling, and it performs better than the RTX 4060 Ti, and gets pretty close to RTX 4070 performance. You boys need to do better, we're tired of under-volting your GPUs for the same performance and better temperatures. We don't want to use 1000W+ power supplies. We don't want to be forced to buy bigger and bigger cases to fit the latest video cards.

That's MY Terra/ProArt 4080S combination. The 50mm GPU (barely) still leaves enough room to fit a 67mm downdraft cooler with manageable temps and noise.

Always good to have more compatibility documentation in this hobby.

as someone with a full sized 3080 FTW3 in his nr200 case, seeing that dual fan gpu in front of it makes me feel some type of way.

My case is the NZXT H510 Elite which can fit most of the GPUs. HOWEVER, I changed my setup to a push-pull configuration (where I have front fans --> radiator --> fans). This helps with cooling the radiator optimally but cuts into my requirements for a GPU. Currently my RTX 3070 is 285mm in length and only 5mm until it can no longer fit in my case. So I can only upgrade to a GPU 290mm or lower.

Awesome! As someone who has a sff build it is sad that there isn't much choice in low profile gpu's, so I'm glad sff is being recognised in a big way like this!

I personally would never go back to small coolers for my SFF builds. Current coolers on RTX 4090's gave us a cool and quiet solution compared to the hot and loud ones from RTX 3000 and older.

Can the drawing be clear on whether the card length includes the PCI bracket bent surface used for screw hold? If you don't make it clear, we'll be back to previous situation where we don't really know if the card partner is presenting the same dimension. Why not require the card to have spec sheet with actual dimensions shown for SFF-Ready compliance?

I really am a fan of SFF PC's but I also want top end gaming performance (4090 of course) so it was just too difficult to find cases I could build in so some kind of standard would be a godsend for people like me

I just wish there was more non huge cards to choose from and they didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's like Nvidia uses VRAM amounts to make sure you're gonna spend at least $600 if you want to stay up to date with modern gaming and play at 1440p - 4K

last build was clevo laptop 1060 inside. that was my last money - still going good letter S is dead and screen(LG) dead too - using external keyboard and 40" tv

2.5-slots? These should be 2-slot like your 4070 and 4070 Super FE cards. Those fit perfectly in my ITX build.

SFF is officially out of the question now for my personal computing taste. If it doesn't support an RTX XX80 or equivalent class GPU AND at least 240mm radiator, then what is the point? Micro-ATX is the smallest I go now. Thanks for trying to create a guideline, though.

This is a good start, but I'm hopeful for powerful 80 class SFF cards that fit in Velkase 3, or 5 for next gen...kind of disappointed and feeling left out last gen...and i know I'm not the only one.

Has true 2 slot 3090 modded to run 470w So seeing no examples of a 4090 being SFF compatible is absurd TPM7950 and Vram cooling using milled copper to reduce the gap as well as thermalputty used as the space filler A 4090 can be cooled with a true 2 slot cooler assuming 0.5mm clearance between cooler and VRM and Vram with TPM7950 on the core

I'm glad that SFF is becoming more popular, but you showed bad examples of cases (just took the most popular among ordinary users?). Where is Velka 3 with 4060 and Velka 5 with 4070, where are the still relevant Ghost S1 and Dan A4 SFX? And what about ZS A4 v3.2 or Midori 5l V2? It is difficult to make a selection in which this terrible Fractal Terra will look like a winner, but you managed to do it. With best wishes, your 4070S user (in 5l case).

4080 Super does not deliver amazing 4k performance, it's barely okay on many current titles. 4090 is needed for this. Aside from that, cool always wanted to build a tiny gaming PC. Just wish more cases would have dust filters, if they didn't it's a no go for me.

But the included cables are not SFF-ready 🤷‍♂

Jacob, Nvidia's specs for sff is extremely lazy. 2.5 slot 304mm cards are not sff. You should know that from your time at evga. That would make your old evga 3080 xc a sff card. There are tons of cases requiring under 200mm and 2 slot only.
