Hi Wayne, with the sudden death of EM, your network of suppliers and connection with us users, the next Spruverse Challenge could be finishing Ecto1 with 3D Resin Parts.......
I'm looking forward to comparing IXO to Agora on this build. So, far the only difference I see are the Agora axels are stationary., and with IXO they had us in Box 5, skip Issue 17.
Their's amassive difference in terms of subscription price. Agora Models monthly subscription is£54 amonth/they charge you shipping costs. IXO Collections is the better cheaper subscription as they only charge you£42 amonth/no shipping costs. +you get7subscription gifts with IXO Collections Agora Models you only get2subscription gifts/that's it
@@WorldofWayneUK I had my son do some research, and we came up with around 1600 dollars for the Steve McQueen car. After seeing how much detail it has, I’m definitely considering buying one. Thanks for sharing your build experience with us
Are the plastic cylinder parts plated, painted, or bare plastic? The Tamiya cement (or any model cement) is actually a solvent, not glue. So if they are plated, you need to scrape off the plating, or it won’t ‘stick’ very well. Very cool build though.
@@WorldofWayneUK well that’s why you had to use super glue on the one pipe that fell off. I’ve seen it before when trying to glue to a chrome part (or metal part) where the solvent melts the plastic to the chrome, and it seems like it’s stuck, but it falls off with little effort, because it’s just ‘stuck’ together, but not bonded. I gotta say though, I’m quite impressed with your collection. And maybe just a bit jealous. Keep up the great vids!
I see you have two different 917kh Porsches you are doing videos on, the Steve McQueen 917kh from Agora and the Porsche 917kh build from IOX Collections, so are there two different kits or just one?
@@WorldofWayneUK Sorry new to this model but love the 917kh, looks like a great model, but a little pricey. Can 917kh be ordered directly from IOX Collections? seems like it would be cheaper to purchase from IXO.
On page 37 of 'Porsche 917: The Winning Formula' by Peter Morgan there is a photo that shows quite clearly that, underneath all that yellow shrouding, the actual engine is indeed that metallic brown.
@@UrbanHermit50 Hi. I agree you with the gearbox color code. What I mean is about the engine,s colour and over all the textures. It,s very important for me to give the textures to get the real efect. See video at 6:47.....it looks a bit unreal. A toy look IMHO. Fusion lines on parts should be sanded as well..... I love this kit. It has a huge potential to do an artpiece. Cheers.
Yep. I’m building their one on live streams . I plan to have 2 so I can have a diorama scene from Le Mans. This one will have the throttle linkages installed however
