All of a sudden this is an Alien bondage video with all the cable ties lol! I thought the Big Chap figure I had from the original movie was big, but this is wonderfully massive, I wish I had the cash to build it myself.
To be honest, the whole thing is lacking articulation. I'd be interested in a look at the full range of motion on those joints, as although they move, they don't seem to move very far. Meaning rubbish posability. Remember the Iron Man build? If you wanted a kneeling pose, you had to switch out the entire pelvis section, and even then it still couldn't pull off a superhero landing (as seen in the first movie where Iron Man rescues the hostages and destroys the Ten Rings weapons.
Wow, they went from packs with "here's a quarter of a ribcage" to "here's an entire 1m long arm". The end product on this build is going to be incredible, but their logic in splitting it up is just confounding.
You make it look easy. I have ditched the magnets as I found them more of a problem than a help. I have also just ordered a tube of black rubber filler as there are gaps from where the skin just will not stretch properly. It`s a `monster` of a job.
Ever figure out the purpose for the magnets beyond just padding the build? I remember there was questions on that with the leg, but don't think we ever arrived at an answer.
@marcch72 that has to be it, because, once you get that skin glued together, you're never going to be able to take it apart to get at the screws or anything. So, at that point, the magnets are useless.
The arms and legs look like they're about the same size as yours - is this a 5' tall model? At Stage 52, you're about at the half-way point of this build.
