As someone who owns a 1/1 scale proton pack, on the rack that goes in the car, the guns are stored on the v hooks on the pack. Unless they changed the design for the model, you can see it specifically in the saving the day montage in GB 1 when Venkman says "We have a date with a ghost" Egon pulls the pack cart out and you can see how they're stored. Also minor nitpick, the thrower or Neutrona Wand is upside down on your packs. It should be handle up so the wearer can quickly pull it up and over their shoulder. Regardless love the build. You need any detailed pics for your modding I can help.

I love that they went ahead and used accurate names for all the parts, even down to the clippard valve on thrower. Big fan of your stuff Wayne!

Great update thanks Wayne. Have you seen the Blitzway Ghostbusters 1/6. The proton packs on those are incredible, the light up features really make them come alive, they look awesome in the back of the Ecto all lit up.

The frame used is an actual military frame pack frame from the US army

I’ve built a few proton packs at 1:1 scale if you’d like a detailed breakdown on what needs changed/added to make these accurate.

I missed this one watching through the series, so I've popped back to check it out, the scale and detail on these are nice but I'm surprised after the amount of functionality the car has that the trap doesn't open and you can't holster the wand to the side of the pack. I've commented a lot already about my playmobil ecto 1, but it came with two proton packs and a trap, and although the detail is a lot less the trap is able to open and the proton wands clip on to the side of the proton pack. I just feel like if the toy can do that then surely the high end model should be able to as well.

Hey Wayne. You could use pin, spigot or protrusion. Personally I've always rather liked nipples 😁😁😁

Where are the straps? I recommend some thin black ribbon to make the straps with, these can be attached to the frame by looping the ribbon tightly around the parts of the frame where the straps should go and either super glueing or stitching a small section at the ends of the ribbon so that each strap attaches to the frame in two places. At about chest level, proportionately; a second strip of thin ribbon should be glued or stitched to each strap to make the cross straps that help support the pack a bit like the straps on a hiking pack. A small piece of thin plastic card cut into a tiny square with two rectangular holes cut into it can make the buckle which you can add to the end of one of the cross straps in the same manner you attached the straps to the proton pack frame. The centre bar between the two rectangular holes is where the cross strap should attach to the buckle. Paint the buckle black or gun metal and there you go. Packs with straps.

I've had my packs for 2 or 3 months now but they're still in the packaging. I'm waiting until the car is complete before I build mine! We'll see if 1) I can wait that long or 2) I'm still living!! bahaha

I found that I achieved a cleaner look on the proton pack by trimming about 5mm from each length of hose.

I have a feeling Mike lane is working on something special for the proton packs.

Have you thought of lighting the accelerator holes? The Red 🔴 on the packs. I'm actually attempting to do that with one of my Proton Packs.

I've modified 1 of 4 pack with mini LEDs in the Cyclotronic Accelerator Chamber. Whish i could post a video of it. Looks good..

I got my packs in a month ago but I’m waiting to get the rack they go on in before I build them, but I may get those mods, but the wand is upside down with the mod you used, I’ve seen some people run a small hobbie knife down the middle of the trap door to make it look like it opens

Eaglemoss shipped me an xl size of that awesome ecto-1 shirt when I needed a 3xl :( also the ecto-1 baseball cap they mailed me is more suited for a child’s head :( . Oh well, at least I stilll have some proton packs to build

I am stuck with the delorean at issue 95,can't get any new issues in the Netherlands,don't have subscription and the newsagents don't have them anymore,so i'm now starting with the ecto-1,i'm buying from the eaglemoss site,i have pack 7 now,but how can i get this special edition,its not for sale on the eaglemoss site?

Those Alice pack frames are actually a military name or also known as the ruck sack.

Just to let you know Wayne, RU-vid has put 6 ads in this video but I have a way to bypass them and this is for your other viewer's, tap the screen and you will see a slide bar at the bottom with yellow dots, these are the ads, slide the red dot on the left on the slide bar just past the yellow dot and then back to the left. Has anyone else had problems with Eaglemoss only sending half of the special out? I receved 2 packs just containing the parts for 2 Proton Packs and emailed them but just only got the same 2 again I would believe there should be packs marked A & B

Wayne....there's one more piece to the proton pack that you're missing....THE RIBBON CABLE!!!! Check other RU-vidrs proton pack videos and if you can, find out if eagle moss was supposed to have it supplied with your proton pack. Otherwise, try and get a separate ribbon cable from eBay, or someone to complete your proton pack.

Love the video, but man... Not feeling those proton packs. I've seen packs in smaller scale that are much more accurate. I mean, no ribbon cable, no way to hook the wand to the pack, no straps on the ALICE frame, wrong colored wires. Yeesh...

Just recieved this issue myself and to be quite honest i feel kinda ripped off. It's the first thing i built from this series and i already consider just not continuing. For the asked price something "looking somewhat similar" is just not good enough. The cables are to thick and have the wrong color, the multicolored wires are missing entirely, no place to holster the wand, it has an absolutely cheep look to it. How come Eaglemoss is going out of it's way to ruin the most iconic parts of their builts? This is the Flux capacitor all over again. Really disappointed by it.
