Really odd that the wand doesn’t attach. Seems like a really silly mistake to make.

That was a genius fix with the magnets. It's kind of weird that with all the intricate details with the individual wires and whatnot that need to be connected, that they completely left out the ribbon cable that goes from the cycletron.

It would be cool if these packs could replace the ones on the Mattel WWE Ghostbusters figures which were WAY too small.

So there are 141 separate kits that make up this model at roughly $13 a pop? So over $1800 just for this model?! I am not a model car guy but does that not sound high to anyone?

The Blitzway Ecto 1 which is 1:6 scale was $2500. Large models are quite expensive especially when they are made mostly out of metal.

@@Anjin-qg3ie I think you underestimate the time and effort that goes into designing the hardware, testing it, getting them fabricated... Yeah you can buy some leds for a few dollars but then you need resistors, wiring, pcb to solder to, arduino or 555 timer chips and the knowhow to program the sequence.

@@Anjin-qg3ie I'd wager that the 160 one is professionally made PCB with everything soldered neat. The 40 one is probably home made.

@@Anjin-qg3ie Yeah OK you can't or don't want to spend that much on something don't talk down to people who do. I want a really nice large scale model of Ecto 1, I am quite happily paying £1300+ over 2 and a half years and I get the pleasure of building it myself. The Blitzway 1:6 Ecto is £1000 more and has way more plastic in it vs this 1:8 scale Ecto that is mostly metal.

To be honest, the biggest disappointment? No ribbon cable.

To be honest I don't know what he would use as miniature ribbon cable or micro ribbon cable for that Mater especially with the color because ribbon cables for modern electronics are smaller but they're Band-Aid Brown it just dawned on me while I was writing this maybe he could get a back to the Future 2 car model kit there might be some rainbow micro cables in there he could recycle

Being as the wand is openable you could put a magnet INSIDE it to hid it and since they're so strong it should still work.

The area inside of the wand was a bit too small for the magnet I was using.

hi Jason. I've been collecting my own parts for the Ecto-1 from eaglemoss as well (up to 46). but I never saw the proton packs? was that something extra?

I fixed alot of problems with the proton packs including an easy way to make to ribbon cables, and made the v-hooks for the wands to attach to the side of the packs! This is fantastic! I actually built my own miniature Proton Pack from scratch and just put out the video a few days ago. Hope you take a moment to check it out! I think you might enjoy it!
