I'm excited to see the progress on this build. I'm currently about halfway through the Ecto-1. If Robocop turns out as well as i think it will, I'll make it my next project. 🤖
Same here I'm going to see how fanhome is for the last 9 issues of my eaglemoss Ecto1 build when I resub next month. I might get this or the Enterprise as my next project.
so glad to see you doing this wayne its really nice build i have that oil container a supporter gifted it to me its a great produt and im always using it looking forward to seing your next issues on this the qwality is awesome
What would be cool is if, similar to the DeLorean, there were additional optional issues with parts to swap armour sections out in order to give RoboCop a battle damaged look. Dents, missing paint, bullet impacts, scuffs, scratches, etc. Kinda like how he looks when he first arrives at the police precinct, vs. his appearance after taking out Clarence Boddicker...
FYI, this exact model was sold in France, made by Altaya (which are certainly the same company as Fanhome), the collection is finished now you can find the end product on many youtube videos, pretty happy with mine, I would have prefered to have the colour a little bit more blueish but oh well. the holster doesn't open like in the movie but the effect is still cool.
I've seen the actual Robocop costume - it was up for auction a few years ago but the finish was actually sort of pearlescent. It's a shame they couldn't do that...although people far more Robocop expert than me may know if it was the pearlescent effect in the original - I believe the auctioned Robocop costume was from Robocop 2.
Hi Wayne, love your videos. Have been following you on the delorean, prime and now robocop too. I actually bypass the instructions on the magazines and follow your video walkthrough instead as I find it more enjoying. Just a few things to note on the robocop model which annoy me, this has already been released previously by altaya and looking at the completed model it appears that the leg pistol holster doesn't swing out like in the movie (hopefully modelmodz, mike lane might come to a solution on this). The silicone face looks slightly odd as his lips appear too high up and I wish the silver had a tinge of blue. Apart from that, looking forward to completing him, thanks for your brilliant vids!
They mis an opportunity to put light on the back of the head like when Murphy remove his helmet in the movie. If I get one, I will try to modify it so I can put some LEDs.😅
dark horse comics back in the 90s did a robo cop vs terminator, so maybe once robo cop is built you can have them facing each other, like their going to war.
Super excited to start this it will be my first ever model but I absolutely love robocop so when I seen the add on Facebook it was a no brainer I had to have it 😁😁😁😁 just ordered today so will be a while for me to get it but love to see people starting the model makes me more excited lol
The TV series in the mid 90's was also excellent. You can pre order the Robodoc Robocop 1 documentairy on both 4K/Blu-ray. Their will be aRobodoc 2/documentairy +afinal one about the mid90's TV series as well
I do wish my assembly had been as straight forward as yours Wayne. The screw to hold the magnet wouldn't grip and it was a b*gger to take apart and reassemble but still wouldn't hold so I have left it loose as I don't intend to have the model swinging upside down. As for the foot, I wasn't supplied with ANY CM screws so that is on hold until Fanhome can supply replacements. (If they ever do!)
Robocop was actually the same colour in the first and second films, but Mark Irwin lit the sequel much more vividly than Josh Vacano did the first film. Hence Robocop looks more blue in #2.
I just finished the iron man and even with everything tight the ankles were weak because they were just hinged instead of a ball joint. Hopefully they have designed a better waist as well,
I Like it! But it's yet another ultimate figure, for the ultimate collector who will ultimately sell it for a million quid one day.. I've never had any luck completing any of these.. The last time was Real Robot's.😉😁
I have a 1980s Horizon model kit made from Vinyl that you must put together and paint. The head sculpts on that is pretty spot on. The robotic back half of his head is detailed when you remove his helmet. I hope that when the head is finished, you get the same thing with the Fanhome version. P.S. Wayne, I used your videos to put my R2-D2 together and he works like a charm. I hope they will add more sounds he makes via and app update or downloadable, and I would love to see the full videos of Leia and Luke. Also, where did you get that CP-3O from? I need one to pose up next tomy R2.
With the amount of space in the helmet it's possible; dawned on me while putting it together. I wish Fanhome did something Terminator related, my goodness to only kits are vinyl stuff, which are iffy in accuracy and detail, or smaller stuff of recent.
@@joshuawaisanen2736 The vinyl kits in the past we're well done by the modeling company's that made them. Today you have so many bootleg garage kit companies that are putting them together and they don't do that great of a job like they used to.
@@vcancerthey certainly have some character, and I do see a few quality models specifically for the IP’s I have interest in. Admittedly I’ve never put together a vinyl kit or anything older than from the 90’s. Looking up that robotic kit, it does look impressive.
I'll startmybuild in about3 9r 4months time when there is something that resembles robocop. I'm just hoping that when it comes to the hipthat the same mistakes that were added with iron man (to top heavy) aren't repeated. May have go lok in go rubber washers or something when the times come
I’m about to start this build! Does anyone know what type of oil he’s using for the screws that go into metal? I followed the US Amazon store link and see the dispenser but didn’t see oil.
Something I've been wondering, are the screws the same between builds? Foe example, I'm doing the Ecto build, is an AP screw from it the same as an AP screw in this build?
I was talking to customer service and apparently it’s going to take 2 years 2month to complete this I begged for a one year completion option but they wouldn’t budge I even tod them I could be dead befor I finish it and would be devistated if I didn’t see it finished how long do models usually complete in? I’ve never done one before but u seem experienced
How much are they charging you and for how long? I have a 1/2 size R2-D2 subscription that in the end will cost me over $1000+ by the time I finish the subscription at $60+ per kit. I don't thing the ROBO will be that much, though.
I never appreciated how you did your videos until you deleted your 1st Star Trek enterprise D build until i started watching a channel called Retro Tech Ralph, who was further along than you were he just aggravates me with his almost constant complaining
