I'm sorry! Yes unfortunately it's no longer in the theme marketplace directly. If you'd still like to use it, I wrote a blog post on how you can extend the Minimal theme with it: bencodezen.ghost.io/blog/how-to-use-minimal-night-owl-theme-in-obsidian/
Did you happen to finish your quest of creating the Night Owl new version based in adapting Minimal via Style Settings? I love Nigh Owl and would love to customize as close to it as possible.
Not yet @IgorTerroso. Been caught up with end of the year responsibilities, but it's the first thing on my list when the new year starts. Sorry for the delay! 🙇♂️
Hey @@BenCodeZen . Got a question about base color on the recommended "Night Ownl Theme". I can successfully change to recommended settings for Minimal but the base color stays gray. If I change it to Dark Blue it also changes the Font color to Light Blue... Any suggestions?
@@IgorTerroso Huh... that's super weird. Can you see if this blog post helps sort out the setup process? bencodezen.ghost.io/blog/how-to-use-minimal-night-owl-theme-in-obsidian/ (This is a temporary site, but hoping the post helps!)
I wanted a custom background to dashboard setup, with translucent and opacity effects. Any suggestions? (the custom background enable btn has vanished from style settings)
The thing that comes to mind is to add a custom CSS class to the note where you've defined the styles as part of a CSS snippet or theme. If you have a more detailed set of requirements, I'd be happy to give it a go to build one out to see if it's what you're looking for!
Haven't finished the video, so forgive me if you already mentioned it, but how can I take one part from one theme and copy it onto a different base theme?
Sadly this is dependent on each theme. In an ideal world, there'd be specific files to easily know what section of CSS to copy, but this is a bit on a case by case basis unfortunately. 🙇♂️ Do you have a specific theme / section in mind?
hi, who can give advise how to find Obsidian load animation section in scc? i'm using Obsidianite theme and i love original load animation more then how Obsidianite theme doing it
Good question! At the moment I believe so, it's why if you want to personalize, I highly recommend creating a fork of it by renaming it like "Custom Theme (Ben's Mods)" in the folder which will ensure that your changes don't get overridden. There are people trying to find ways to modularize personal changes from the theme so that they are scoped apart. Check out github.com/mgmeyers/obsidian-style-settings for a great example of this!
Awesome - can't believe what you were able to pull this off - Watched a bunch off tutorials but I can't seem to figure out CSS Snippets ( for anything other than .callouts) but need some help... Keyboard Short Cut Elements and the tag .... Simple Code below and really all I am looking for ---------------------------------------- kbd { color: #262F47; background-color: #D9D9D9; border-radius: 6px; box-shadow: inset 0 -2px 0 black; border: 1px solid; line-height: 11px; display: inline-block; padding: 8px 8px; } The kbd element + CSS Press CTRL + C to copy text (Windows). Press CMD + C to copy text (Mac OS). --------------------------------------------------------- Anyway you could come up with a good CSS snip it? That would also be easy to customize and work outside of theme provided colors too? / Its like the last thing that is need to make a very good documentation solution Appreciate any help or resources you might be able to point me too
Snippets are definitely something I've been meaning to dive into more. In terms of the code you provided, it looks good to go from my end. My guess is what you'll want to do is look into common CSS variables that other themes are using (which might be tricky since I'm not sure how standardized this is). So maybe the starting point is to base it on a popular theme like Minimal and then add support if other people request it for other things. But this is an interesting problem, I'll add it to the backlog for things I'll work on and will publish the video when I do!
