Singing with an SM57 may require a bit different of a technique, but are my favorite live vocal mics, especially in a full band scenario, and especially for male vocalists. Also, they sound fantastic on acoustic guitars.
Great question! You’d be surprised at how efficient computers are at audio production. I built my pc in 2015 with an i7 processor and 32gb of ram. I would highly recommend any PC with an i7 and 32gb of ram. If you use virtual instruments and electronic music you will want these for sure. Everything else is just for fun.. you don’t need a crazy graphics card or screen.. the premade pcs are convenient but if you have a tech friend to help you, it really isn’t a bad process to build your own.. you’ll spend $500 for a pc that would cost you $1200 easy For work I had a Dell laptop. It was their XPS series. Just check the RAM and processor. SSD internal drives are also great and should be standard now. I hope that helps! Wish I could recommend more specific models I just havnt had any need for new pcs lately
@@JDavis-t5n I have 2 Samsung SSDs that are the $80 black ones (very basic internal) and I have one Samsung NVME drive that I use as my main internal disk. Most are 500gb, I have one 1TB Ssd as well. Starting out, have your best storage drive set up for your operating system (windows) then have a second internal drive just for virtual instrument libraries like Superior Drummer and Native Instrument packs My desktop case is one made for being as quiet as possible. It still makes noise but it has a thicker padded case than normal.. I think it’s literally called “Be Quiet”. It’s all black and no see through or glass
