Thats perfection Kev! I would have thought the copper tube wouldnt give a pure hard edge to the incoming airflow…but it sounds very crisp..well done. Regards Stuart from further North👍

@MrFactotum Год назад
Thanks 👍 Stuart from the North!! Yes , i had that thought when making it on the cheap!!!, but it turned out not to bad, may be not as crisp as brass, but easier on the pocket by using what i had at hand. Some people call me tight but i just say i like value for money!!🤣🤣🤣 Appreciate the feedback Stuart👍👍👍👍👍 thanks for watching atb Kev

Great sound Mr F may have to make this next even though I'm nowhere needing a whistle at the stage I'm at with my loco .. i think we are just little boys at heart. As usual keep safe .. Dug Hogarth

Incredible, from a vague drawing and scrap parts you have made a beautiful whistle that people spend hundreds of pounds purchasing from a ME supplier! Can I have one please :) Tom

What ho Mr F, I wonder if the sound is more mellow being made from copper, not harder brass? Toot Toot C

Kev, I've searched, & cannot find any plans on Model engineer clearing house for steam whistles, any chance I could get you to email them to me? I'm trying to adapt a whistle to a pressure canning kettle to alert me to when to start the 1st timer...
