Another great video! I found that if I listen to other peoples narrative I limit my options to improve my life. The narratives that limit my options are aggressive fear based narrative and passive trust based narrative. Both limit my choices to succeed. My focus now is results based!

I loved my one month stay in Penang four years ago. I stayed in a hotel just down the street from the Jetty Food Court (I just looked it up the google reviews are low- I found the place excellent, great value- there was a Texas BBQ rib place, for a taste of home, excellent dim sum, lots of beer places) also the Restoran Kapitan (Chulia Street) an Indian food place across from the main fire station in Georgetown-again crappy reviews on google, but the food and service are excellent, I ate there many times.... it pays to check out places, crowds of local people are generally a good indication of value and quality- enjoy your stay!!!

Georgetown is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To many Malaysians, it is the food capital! It is not exactly well known for its beaches, because we do have many other beautiful beaches especially the islands.

Georgetown isn't my kind of place but Penang is awesome outside of there, out by the hills and nature. I got so lost there on the buses but found some beautiful areas. Looks like Ray Ann is near the ferry and mall? I am avoiding Oriental Hotel next time. That was my only ever bedbug experience.

@@RetireandGo Well, did a lot of retirement research pre-pandemic and immediately saw that my wife's home country of Malaysia was perfect. She gave up her citizenship to come to US before I met her. Also, I was smart enough to know to just let an expert mm2h agent handle it as opposed to applying myself. Saved when I was locked out of the country which otherwise would have lapsed my app.

Those beaches… the color of the sand and the color of the water is exactly what it looks like in southern California around Los Angeles and San Diego, California where I grew up 2 blocks from the ocean… nice, but nothing special. Check out the beaches in Thailand and the Philippines. White sand and aqua blue water. I’ve lived in the Philippines for nearly 3 years. Phenomenal. I’ve also been to Georgetown, Penang Island, Malaysia.

Luv Penang (altho the sun can be a little fierce)...but incredible food , very friendly people...and most people speak English! (made some good friends who retired there too!) Maybe Penang is new to you but not new to many. Penang has been a home to many British, Aussie and Japanese for decades under RAAF or old MM2H, and is receiving more South Korean, Hong Kong and Chinese families under the new MM2H in the last few years. Other than retirees, Penang is dubbed Silicone Valley of the East so it attracts many working expats as well who are working in MNCs here. Penang has also been ranked high over the past decades by CNN, BBC, International Living, etc. It's just you knew Penang a little bit late than others.
