I really think it's a lot cheaper to automate a humidifier than a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier also increases room temperature. I much prefer growing in the winter as Jeremy said. The summer brings a lot of challenges indoors.

28:28 just thinking as you're talking- I think the benefit of the lights off is similar to having a dense cover crop in the sense that the biology and roots get to flourish higher in the medium from the heat and light intensity being away for those hours. So 18 is better than 12 in the sense that the dli is stretched out for the plant to take it in easier, but 18 beats 24 because the 6 hours of dark is beneficial for the medium to partake in a few percent more of its activities in that upper layer for a few hours 😅 hopefully that makes as much sense to you as it does for me

Using an Earthbox with Ecowitts, what are the is a normal moisture/ healthy range for the plants and what is considered to high/ anaerobic of a moisture level, so you would hold off on watering. Keep up the great work, you guys are amazing….
@billybudz
@billybudz 6 месяцев назад
Before transplant ,45% (average) testing 4 quadrants. Transplant with reservoir dry. When Ecowitt reaches 35% fill reservoir with 1 gal to start. This is the tricky part! The roots must hook up BEFORE you fill reservoir to full capacity. You'll know this when 1GAL. in the reservoir goes dry in no more than 48 hrs. Safe Ecowitt numbers are 25%-50%. Optimal numbers are 35%-45%. I hope this helps you. 💯✌️🦚

@BuiIdASoil Ok,so we're I'm at in Alaska, we are able to have 6 plants per 1 person legally going at 1 time in one household and it doubles with 2 or more people in one household but i live alone with no pets,3 of which can be in flower. I currently live in a 20x9 dry cabin( which just means I have to pack my water and I have no bathroom lol)and have electric. My sealing is roughly 14' in height. In my cabin I have a 11'x6' space that I plan to use for the grow. Now with the difference in temperatures fluctuating from negative degrees in winter as such is the case right now to up to 70 80 90 degrees and such in the hotter months. My plan is to over the next year better insulate my cabin and turn the cabin its self into a lung room using the ac infinity 4" pro systems, mainly do to the wattage they pull when operating at full capacity. Along with using 2 of the ac infinity 4x4 tents -1 for veg and 1 for flowering,now for the lights in both of these tents ive chosen due to price along with wattage usage and the ppfd ,the szhlux 500 watt led lights rated for a 5x5 tent but the dimensions will allow them to fit in the 4x4,along with - 1 2x4 tent with a spider farmer sf 600 light when sprouting seedlings, for the duel purposes of sprouting seedlings and in rotation drying when I harvest and rotate the plants using feminized auto flowers so hopefully a Simi steady perpetual grow can be established in due time.. in which I'm planning on using the 4" pro systems to create the internal environments desired for each stage of growth in each tent along with fans,dehumidifiers/ humidifiers as needed. Now I've been watching a few other people on the RU-vid like Mr.growit and pigeons 420 along with doctor autoflower and a few others...and so my thoughts and plans are to use a cococore baise with purple cow organic craft mix on a 4 to 1 mix in 5 gallon fabric pots also keeping on hand diatomaceous earth and Mammoth canncontrol to help with any pest infestation that may occur... some yucca wet to help with any forms of stress that may occur from low stress training and some calcium carbonate-potassium carbonate and magnesium carbonate along with the stah bled mix to help with any deficiencies that may occur aong with worm castings for extra nitrates as needed... I'm on a budget due to being on ssdi so this will take me some time to aquire everything but I hope to be getting started around next November or December... Sorry for the long text,I have a tendency to over explain quite often lol but these are my thoughts and ideas of what I'm wanting to due to utilize my space that is available in the most effective and efficient way... any and all advice or guidance will be and is greatly appreciated. Thank you once again...

Hey Gang at BAS...I figured out a way to explain PPFD and DLI. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Hopefully my explanation will help someone who reads this.... Anywho, think of PPFD as rain drops of photons, raining down on your plants, example: a PPFD of 200 to 400 it's pretty much just sprinkling, 500 to 700 its really starting to come down. 800 to 1200, man it's raining cats and dogs out there. DLI on the other hand, is" HOW MUCH" rain (or photons) did you get, during the time the lights were on. 1"s? - 2"s? Instead of inches, DLI is measured in amounts. 40-50-60, depending on how much PPFD is put out in the time frame the lights are on. I hope that makes sense.

Has to do with legal states mandating ridiculous plant counts. I can only have 5 plants legally. A 5 plant sea of green style grow wouldn't yield as much as me having 5 large plants in 3 different tents like I do now. If I could grow 20 plants then a sea of green style would make sense.

Has anyone noticed there are way more videos about indoor growing than there are about outdoor growing? It's because outdoor growing is so easy it doesn't take much instruction, and you don't need anything but sun, dirt and water, so there are fewer products to sell. Last year, my few outdoor plants produced way more than My family would ever consume in a year, and it cost zero dollars, and the only work was harvesting, drying, and putting in containers. I imagine that indoor is the only option for a lot of people, so it's great that the products and instruction exist, but if you CAN grow outdoors, it's way cheaper and easier. (growing IN THE GROUND, not in containers.) My plants got HUGE.

We have poor, clay soil, but when the roots are allowed to grow unrestricted in the earth, they can find all the nutrients the plants need. I did give them a little organic cow poop and horse poop. But we live in farm land and our neighbor farmers are super nice and are happy to let us harvest some poop. We have several years worth of chicken dung, but I need to research the use of chicken poop. I guess it's pretty "hot" and can burn your plants if it's too fresh.

Love that Jeremy did this. Very important data for new growers to learn about. The decisions we make are only as good as the data we use to make the decision. I would love to see this community, who is diy in nature, get into making our own leds. We make our own compost, we make our own castings and ferments, we make our own soil, why aren't we building our own lights? A light that will be designed for your garden and your style of growing. A homemade light is like a homemade soil. We have control over so much more. We have full control over the quality level of all inputs. We become more independent, save money, and get a better quality light. Not to mention, once you have the skill, you can make lights for your friends. I would love to do a show on how to figure out the best led design for your grow space while also covering the build. Let's colab! #BuildALED

I love your videos. April 15 million German smokers will come out of illegality. I highly recommend all to watch about organic growing.😊

I’ll just throw this in there, national electric code says anything being used for continuous use (3 hours or more) you have to use the 80% rule, so a 20 amp breaker running a grow room for more than three hours shouldnt have more than 16 amp load on it.

Thanks for the tip on the amps, I was considering setting up in an old house with some 15amp breakers, I will be sure to avoid those outlets and consider 240v

most dli charts are the average dli that a plant minimal should receive. so based on that and the hours i want to put my lights on, i can calculate my average dli daily based. ppfd does run together with the average dli but you try find a sweet spot for your plant in your space to receive that average DLI each day

Really trying to maintain my VPD. My weakest link that I can control is humidity. My question is can I use a 6 in inline fan for a 2x4 tent. My 4 in inline fan is struggling to exhaust humidity. My intake air from my basement is low 50’s. My tent is struggling to keep the humidity at 60rh. Once again, I love your content, and I am so pleased that your products are now available in driving distance from my location. I love the teaching you have provided thru the years but I feel it would be easier to purchase the best products on the market! Thanks again for your time and effort for continuing my education in organics!

Electrical. Most bedrooms are 15amp breakers. Main living areas, kitchens etc are 20amp. Usually bedroom are assumed u wont need as much since a few nightstand lights and a tv don’t draw a ton of amps. Plus 14gauge wire is cheaper than 12gauge. As for the load, it’s usually 80% on duty. So 20 amps load, 16 amp continuous for a 20 amp breaker.
