Mistakes happen and its not about the mistake its about how you take care of the mistake when it happens and Modern Muscle Extreme is sending someone out to take care of it so they deserve nothing but love.
Quite right! It also kinda helps that you got a louder than normal megaphone but still...other businesses should take notes on taking responsibility and making it right. It'll be worth the wait, I'm sure
No shit😂I've had to pump one to start for forever cuz of work, with one of the two forklifts being absolute shit (the other is an awesome CAT tho). Never had one so bad that the horn needed a kickstart too😂
My poor 06 Daytona's Rear end sounds sometimes like its got some give to it lol. I just love tapping the gas and giving it hell. Stock mind you...can't imagine it handling much more than 600 (soft launches) without blowing into 100 pieces.
@@infl the whole front suspension is pretty cheap lol. Then again, heavy car 10 or more years and a v8 its gonna hurt. Gonna find bottlenecks real fast
The problem starts when the make excuses then stop communicating with you leaving you holding the bag. If these guys actually follow through then there is no problem mistakes get made everywhere some people are just better at covering them up.
Your way of handling that situation is just stellar! It happened and by being pleasant with them gets you a company rep in person to correct it. Way to go!
I have a Nissan propane forklift that identifies as a Toyota diesel forklift , we’ve had many late discussions about the consequences of going down that road , that such a lifestyle choice won’t go well for them. But, they are committed and we’re born with these feelings, and the desire to cackle with the big boys outside.... We are currently suing our local LP gas company for refusing to fill their tank up with diesel fuel and calling us crazy. I tried to tell them how badly this will play out for them on Twitter....
I surely hope you get good comps from the engine supplier. that's a fairly large screwup on their part for sure, cant believe they are making you wait a week .
ooof, when a rather popular tuber tosses that business name out there. Im sorry, you just cannot make that mistake on a $25k motor without double checking.
To be fair, they knew who they were sending it too and probably should have made sure it was assembled properly before sending it to a RU-vidr with over 1 million subscribers. I'd like to believe they would send someone to our house if this happened, but I have suspicions that would not happen.
@Zutronic com He is fried on pain killers. He trashed his back and talked about the Dr. ...Lol,Sober?Let me tell you about the FACTS.The medicinal uses for weed and a bunch of other herbs, spices ,and minerals far outweighs the poison that big pharma puts out there to mimic all of the natural stuff and also to make sure that not many ppl live to see 80 or 100.We should be living way longer. You are an idiot.Keep thinking that the government has your best interest at heart! The powers that be.The ones truly in charge don't want you to know any of this,so they brainwash society into thinking just like you.I mean after all,you only think that way bc someone once told you that pot is bad......Go chase down the crack dealers..Oh wait!..Most the coke is allowed in bc of the government anyway. How can you automatically assume that someone was drunk or high on ANYTHING?As a shop owner,I can say that mistakes like these ARE easy to make.Yes double and triple checking helps but, stuff happens.Get off of RU-vid and go learn facts before you speak next time!Lame.
Love your videos, been watching for over a year, seen every video, and you young man a crushing it with this content!!!! Great range of content for everyone. Thanks Westen. I’m gonna have to get some merch.
They put the heads on backwards. They messed up something as simple as putting the heads on. The tech is coming to pick up the engine, and deliver your refund in person, right?
I'd be asking for my refund in cash. If im paying $6k+ for a crate engine I'd expect that thing to be perfect. Find another shop to build you a 6.4 or just order a Hellcat.
For sure huh.. They should at least bring a brand new, fully built engine and take this one back to their shop and deal with the issues on their own time.

There coming to fix the mistake whats so bad you never made a mistake it was probably a long day at the shop after putting 6 other engines together God forbid they make a simple mistakes especially when they offer to fix it no charge as it should be
Love the channel Weston! Things happen, we are all only human. What matters is the customer service and the plan of action to remedy the problem. Sounds like they got it handled.
Props to the shop, I somehow doubt they will fly a guy out to fix my engine if I buy one, but at least we know they are smart enough to know if there was ever an engine not to fuck up, this was it. It must be nice to be able to tell a shop “ah geez we’re filming this for a million subscriber web series on RU-vid, maybe you’d rather I just didn’t mention your name ?”
This reminds me of my Roadmaster 94... almost 600 ponies pulling a boat ala former sheriffs ghost car... this project is coming alone decently my dude. Can't wait for the final result.
@@TheRoadhammer379 Even short blocks of this caliber get test run and broken in. They just remove the parts you didn't pay for. This situation seems extremely lazy to me.
You would think the people who built the engine. Would check things over before they send it out. If they made the mistake of putting the heads on the wrong sides of the engine. Who knows what else could be wrong. I would go through the whole thing down to the crank.
What happened to quality control and double checking your work this seems like a huge mess up they should be sending a replacement motor that's been run on the dyno to make sure it's 100 good to go
bet they weren't counting on you finding that out till you installed and blew it up.. but, as usual, Westen, your thorough, very thorough. love these vids.
Wow remind me to never use them. They, I guess never bench ran that one? I would demand they take it all apart and check everything! If they could screw up putting the heads on wrong did they put the main caps on the right side up and are the pistons facing the correct direction. 🤦♂️ quality control 👌
@@daexion he said they are coming to put the heads on correctly. I wouldn't trust any of the work. I have been a tech since I was 17, I am 45 now. That type of mistake is not a good indication there is quality work there. Hopefully I am wrong. I guess we will see how long that little monster lasts.
Holy smokes. I hope that is all...but chances are if they did something that boneheaded that engine probably will not run without more work or at all. Best of luck!!
I feel like they owe him lost revenue on the videos he would have made of the build. He'll be a week or more behind. It's probably in the neighborhood of the price of that engine. A week is a lot of money for someone that has a million subs.
They stand behind there work. Sending a guy all the way out to redo it. Nice to know that there are companies out there that still do that. Mistakes happen
Return that motor and go to a different engine builder, I’d have zero faith in that. How many others things have they cocked up on, this is just the beginning you’ve not even put it in the car or ran power through it.
Just what I was thinking. They build a high hp engine and don't run it on the dyno or anything? Unless they are sponsoring this build, I'd get my money back and go with a well known reputable builder. Its basic common sense to test before shipping out to the customer.
Nice to see you doing proper videos again Westen I was getting a bit sick of seeing you mucking about, but now we’re back doing what you do very well, how are the shop plans coming along 👍🏻
Well, I tend to believe that sometimes mistakes just happen.....its how they remedy the problem that I'm interested in seeing. Look forward to next episode 👍
09:30 Im not very car savvy but how does that even happen? Don’t these companies have some sort of quality control to make sure an engine is built correctly and functions?
Pretty sure most just send it out. Problem is they build so many, not exactly easy to start them all up, plus most people want BRAND new engines. It is a builder error for sure though.
OH I HEAR YOU AND I FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME WAY LIKE YOU, did they put the other parts correctly????? Who knows, oh well surly find out when he fires that engine up, hopefully it don't GO BOOMMMM that would be a disaster!!!💥💥💥💥!!!😳😲🤪🤯😵
Just goes to show what a good company will do when a problem has been found. Good on them for admitting to this issue. Definitely looking forward to seeing this baby roar and I'm not even a mopar fan.
