Building a 426 Whipple Supercharged HEMI Dodge Dakota 

Wow this is so cool. I bought a 2003 Dakota Sport reg cab SB 4x4, with a 318 V8 Magnum 5 speed, with hd service package, hd towing package, tire and handling package with 265/75-16 tires on alloy wheels. That ran fantastic till I traded in 2014, on a Charger R/T AWD. That little Dakota was a fantastic driving truck, great handling and riding, especially after I cranked up the torsion bars and added air bag rear, plus Edlebrock SSV Shocks. Ran flawlessly for 11years, cost $20,000 new, got $9,000 in trade with 69,000 hard but very well cared for miles. I used to have fun with 5.0 Mustangs! I can’t imagine having twice the power! Could you fit a Durango SRT drive train for AWD? Because you’re going to need it! This second generation was the best looking Dodge truck ever in my opinion. That Dodge really F UP in 2005 on. Now today I own a 2019 Colorado Crew Cab we have had since new, a WT 4x4, V6, with approx 50-60 more hp than the 318 Magnum, with about 28 lbs ft less tq, at about 1,000 higher rpm’s. In the 3.6 V6 LGZ engine family. Thats is actually quicker and faster than the 318 was by itself. Was more relaxed towing, especially with the 5 speed. But the 8 speed shifts so much better and quicker, with deeper 1st and 2nd gears to put the same amount of tq down, from an engine with less. The only thing I would do if my build? I would use a Durango SRT Hellcat Trans/Transf case to have heavy duty enough AWD, to putt all those horses down!

If there's nothing wrong with the doors on the donor Dakota it'd be easier to just swap the whole door over instead of moving the power window regulator over. Truck is getting painted anyways.

Mopar lime green would be awesome. Just thinking outside the norm.

Just a FYI you can buy the Vinyl Dye Spray through touch up direct they carry all 3 shades of Grey and Camel. I would just redye the stock dash or even yet you could wrap it in vinyl or leather depending on how much the customer wants to go.

26:19 Seatbelts are part of the slate Grey interior, those are correct for the parts truck you have. Its almost a Purple/redish "warmer" grey

Have you ever seen anyone run the whipple supercharger with a drive by cable throttle body?

Would it be possible to use the Durango dash but just swap out the Radio & climate control area to the Dakota one so it all fits? I don't remember if the radio surround is part of the dash or a separate piece so maybe not?
