I would absolutely go for the full ride, since prestige is very low priority for me, unless I had a solid plan to arrange for funds. Say, for example, I've been running my own business or been freelancing for the past 2 or so years, I have a good amount of savings, and I've won competitions and external scholarships. At that point, I would strongly consider the Ivy League one
@@kdndsdvdIvy League won't give you any type of free pass for your job life. Ivy League Universities gives initial help to gain connections with many big companies. But if you don’t have skill then they will never keep you. Read my comment which saloni ma'am liked. You'll understand why I'm with low tier full aid
Low tier with full aid. Making most of the experience while helping myself and my family out of the financial burden can affect my performance in university.
@@nithin1044 nope but it provides you with opportunities to prove yourself. Nowadays finding an opportunity to prove yourself is also difficult. So the better the college, the better the opportunities.
I'll go with low tier. I'll have more savings. Will have more free times than Ivy League students to build outside academic skills and won't have any debts. Can do different jobs and internships and gain experiences.
Low terir uni with full ride will be a better option. If you choose a ivy league with 70k per year fees you will be in a debt of around 250k(if done in 3 years) and also you will have to get a on campus job too to manage your daily expenses which would be hectic to manage with a ivy league curriculum while on the other hand if you choose low teir uni you can invest your free time on gaining skills, going to events, networking and can prepare of summer internships. But obviously if you got the money ivy league is always a better option due to it's brand value, location and networking. And also if you have a option of mid teir uni with 30%+ scholarship choose that.
Hi, I am an F1 student in NY, I will be graduating by the end of this year and planning to apply for PhD program in the USA, your channel is very informative, and the way you describe everything is so easy for us. Thanks! Can you suggest or make a video for social science students mostly for the graduate level, also if you can suggest some mid-range universities, that will be helpful. Thank you!
Please make video about ECA. I want to apply fall 25 but I have no certified ECA. I know many students facing this problem. Please make video about how can we overcome this ECA issue.
Hi Saloni akka, I’m applying this year for 2025 intake. But, I subscribed to Ivy League 101 (2023). My question is do you prefer me to subscribe Ivy League 101 again this year?
Hey Medusa Personally I feel the university where I will study will be mattering a lot. Not just for the educational quality and opportunities but also for the prestige , network you build and your group made there. So I would surely go for the OPTION A. After all I will be coming from India as an international student and going to the US for studying at a low tier university would not make good sense , why could I just not study at a great college here in India. So for me it is option A. For the money part I will surely keep loans as my last option. So I will ofc take a bit of my parents help in paying the fees and also from my side I will be doing jobs on campus or weekend work off campus too, also freelancing growing social media is a great way to earn and other online mediums and also paid work or internship might help What are you thoughts on this all>?
the most important things or my main goal is to get two things free Tuition Fee and Accommodation, i don't even need what to eat, monthly stipend, living expenses, all i need is that two things, i can barely work for that 20hrs, you got any options for me dear teacher, my name is ibrahim ali from somalia, the system here is collapsed and not good or strong like the other countries cuz we are a civil war situation, for this situation its the reason why i;m looking for that two things.
I AM A PARENT FROM INDIA. PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT BUDGET FRIENDLY UNIVERSITIES IN USA FOR MIDDLE CLASS INDIAN STUDENTS FOR DOING MASTERS IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ABOUT DELAWARE UNIVERSITY, UT AUSTIN, UT COLLEGE STATION, SUNY STONY BROOK, SJSU, UCF ORLANDO......DO THEY FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY FOR BIOMEDICAL?
I did my bachelor and Master’s in environmental and resource economics. My CGPAs are 3.30 and 3.31. Now i want to pursue my phd from the USA in Agricultural economics. I Don't have any papers or publications of my own but i have huge extracurricular activities related to leadership. Am i supposed to get full fund? If yes can you please suggest 10 universities where i can apply?
I am admitted in university of St Thomas in minnesota with 60%tution fee ($30600) is it good to go with this university? Kindly let me know as soon as possible
Ma'am i want you to please please help me i want to go in computer science field and artificial intelligence but i am not able to find a suitable college please help me by telling some great college for pursuits cs major and ai major in us.
I disagree with the notion that undergrad or grad students can apply to a maximum of 20 colleges. In fact, the maximum is 10 colleges. The reason for this limitation is that if a candidate applies to 20 universities and receives an admission offer, their visa application may be rejected during the interview process. The concern is that applying to so many universities may be perceived as a sign of desperation to gain entry into the US, potentially leading to a assumption that the individual intends to stay in the country illegally.
depends on how confident you are explaining your reasonings as to which college you selected. Just like your notion of only 10 colleges can be looked in a different viewpoint too, this student applied to very specific college because he/she wants to go a specific state to settle down after his/her studies. The VOs know about the categories of college that US high school students apply to so its not something looked bad upon if an international student does the same
