@@92RADLO The only guy in the hospital with a grin on his face. You sure know how to be sick. but don't make a habit of it mate.....I hope you got well fast.
Andrew, it has taken me almost 77 years of my life, and, at last found you a couple of years ago, and your videos, I know that I can now relax and enjoyment the years I have left to me. Just knowing that there are people like you around, makes me feel and breathe easier and with more hope. An entire segment of people will now be safe because people like you exist in the world. I'm sure you don't feel about yourself the same as many other feel about you (e.g. see all the wonderful, heartfelt comments below), but I would call you a "human being 3, that is human being cubed....no airs of pretension, no need to insist how much better you are than others....just kind, talented, ready to help others. I agree with one of the commenters, after 77 years of life, I hope I can be somewhat like you when I grow up. Thank you so much, Andrew !!! I realize, too, that these words fall so far short of what is in my heart, and what would like to say.....but so be it. I hope you know what I'm trying to say
yap! And i wish also to live in ths US and not in germany, because here in ger, the city council decide what color the roof of your house has to be and where you have to ask for the permit, to build a shed on your property. if i tell them, i want to build a container castle, they maybe laugh for some days. xD
@@musikk83 same in Italy buddy.. i waited 2 years to have the papers to mount a 8 square meters tool house.. in MY garden.. and it's made wood's only.. and i live at the borders of small town.. and it's completly removable in less than a day.. long live America, land of free men edit: not to mention we have diesel at 1.55 euro/liters.. around 6 bucks a gallon for folks at the other side of the atlantic ocean.. so.. it's quite expensive to run stuff here
musikk83 that assuming we get permits. I have built two sheds and a garage and redid house and have yet to get a permit. If not right in town most of us don’t get permits
we have building codes in North America here (I'm in Canada actually), you can get away with creating fun stuff like this in rural areas, as long as your neighbors don't put up a fuss...
When you hear the term “jack of all trades” they were talking about this guy, Andrew. Fixes computers, mechanic, welder, craftsman, builder, lumberjack, video editor, etc.
Rewatching these videos after a year it’s awesome noticing your dad in them. Seems like he has been a great father and if you choose to have kids I imagine you’d be a great father also. I’ll keep watching your channel for as long as you make videos. Keep up the good work.
I love watching you Andrew. Been binge watching on and off for a month. It’s nice to see how productive you are and when you envision a plan you make it happen. Not too many out there like you. Great video’s!
So I must admit...I've binge watched a bunch of episodes of yours. We are much alike. I enjoy the way you do your videos. I appreciate your candidness and honesty but also your humbleness. Keep up the great work. You embody the American spirit that so many have long lost. Its refreshing. Much respect. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🍻
Yes this IS the American Spirit! This is how this Country was built into what it is, by Men just like Andrew. That's what made our Country, and our Society so great. That's how we won 2 World Wars. However, I am saddened to say that this type of Man & Personality is fading fast in the good ol' USA. Especially in Andrew's generation, and the ones even younger than him. I told him in another message that it was so amazing to see someone in his age group that wasn't sitting on their ass playing Video Games all day, still living with their Mommy, eating Tide Pods, and thinking the world owes them everything for free. Let alone have all the different skill sets it takes to build everything that he has. This is how I grew up (53 years old). We never hired anyone to do anything when I was a kid. My Dad and I built, and or repaired everything on our Farm. By the time I was 10 - 11 years old, I was operating every piece of Farm Equipment we owned, as well as Heavy Equipment, Dozers, Excavators, etc. I could drive a Tractor Trailer by the time I was 12, and actually drove them out on the Road at 14, my Uncle would let me drive empty, and he would drive loaded, when he would take me hauling Coal in Eastern Ky. Andrew evidently was raised in this same manner, that is the only way you can be proficient in that many different Skilled Trades by that age.
Mixing in a truck bed? This channel is slowly but surely becoming one of my favourite. Great and interesting videos + fairly regular uploads - keep it up Mr. Camarata. Your channel will grow into hundred thousands! looking forward to it.
I've worked construction, off and on, in the Deep South almost my entire life and I've NEVER seen concrete mixed that way! Lol That was absolutely awesome!!! Another great video! Love your property videos, however your work videos are pretty great as well.
Thank you Andrew from the bottom of my heart. I too am a DIYer and have been my entire life from an early age. I am 60 with a neurological disease that prevents me from creating stuff. I have been watching your videos for months now. I'm living my passion through you now. With admiration and respect. You are a Legend in my opinion. Thank you!
Dennis Alan City Boy Homesteader unfortunately the government is trying hard to not let people do this stuff without hitting them with such high rates for building codes that most people can't afford the permits... A LOT of land in the US is restricted unless you go completely off grid, and that land is getting few and far between. This is my dream to live like this... hard to save money money living in a city
Stumbled across your channel and watched you work for others and was amazed at your work ethic, then found what you do for yourself. Andrew, you are truly an amazing man with talent! Your container tower...then that door, but this hot tub is beyond words. You are an inspiration to others to find that spark inside and go build and create. Thank you sir!
A man and his castle. Andrew, I admire your stamina and vision when it comes to all your projects and wish you the best in life. Never grow old and keep playing in the dirt until the day you're laid to rest in it.
I have been watching your videos for a couple weeks now. It started with fixing a culvert. Now I’ve watched you build everything on your property. You SIR are very impressive with your working ability and skills. You’ve done an amazing job with everything. Hats off to you sir. Great job on everything you do and have done.
Andrew - new sub via Scott the Essential Craftsman. Have been binge watching now for a couple days. I’m Scott’s age and thought I had lots of energy (and ideas) when I was younger but now see I was a tree sloth by comparison to your force of nature. *You need kids*. Lots of kids. Not to slow you down, but because your kids will have the coolest dad and the most fun childhood imaginable. So take that young lady I see from time to time and make some kids. I guarantee you there are souls lining up like it’s Black Friday at Best Buy to jump down into those little bodies and grow up in AndrewLand. Plus kids are a blast, they’re good additions to dogs. And in 10-12 years you’ll have the start of one helluva crew. I started running stuff and building stuff that young, and your kids will too. So have kids. Do it soon. God bless.
Everytime I watch this vid I am blown away! It never gets old. Andrew is without a doubt one of the most creative and clever guys on RU-vid. Who else would think of mixing concrete in a dump truck and using a front-end loader to pour it from? Like who needs a concrete pumper? And that wood-fired heat exchanger, who would have thought of that one? The guy is simply amazing!
You are simply amazing Andrew. I began watching one of your earlier videos about building a driveway. Each one I watch just keeps getting better, now I am stuck on them. You are doing things I've only dreamed about doing. I wish I would have followed my dreams when I were your age. Keep em coming my friend. You are full of surprises, and I totally get everything you do.
Elon Musk? Can't even compete with this guy's inventiveness. Musks skills are based on how much money you can throw at a project. Ex: Space-X, steal BILLIONS from taxpayers for more worthless fake space crap!
Andrew should feel very proud of what he has done. I can't even imagine how nice it is to hang out there with friends and family, I'm sure they all agree that Andrew did a wonderful job.
Ahhh...that takes me back. This was one of, if not the first, video I saw of yours. Time to watch it again. Those final drone shots with the classical music were beautiful. The gazebo perfectly lit, in the background. A nice cozy spot. Well done! Cheers from B.C.
The setup you have there is brilliant. I haven't watch yet the process of making the castle, still have loads of videos to watch. Your ingenuity is amazing I give you that :D Looking forward for new content.
Andrew your property and surrounding is literally amazing. You deserve everything and more that you work for, it's so amazing to watch a guy like you work hard and play just as hard. Your living one hell of a life, the life I want in a few years. Keep going
That is awesome. Me an my 6 year old son watch all of your videos. This world needs more people like you. Great job at everything. Love your bachelor pad..
You are without a doubt the king of "half-assed on the presentation - but it works" on youtube. And I say that as a compliment, there is nothing wrong with things getting done to get them done and putting their use first and foremost.
Danger Ranger any idea what the name of that original song is? It's that "fancy rich people dinner party" tune in so many movies, and now it's bugging me that I can't identify it. Help anyone?
Great project. I love how throughout the video, you hustle & bustle to get everything done... the music builds up a sense of tenacious intensity... then at the end... you take us to flight over the beautiful mountainside and play a very mellow, romantic Pachabel's Canon in D - love your videos, your knowledge, skills and your dedication. Keep up the good work!!
great stuff. your creativity is awesome, i doubt you will be leaving those woods anytime soon. You just made a whole lot easier for me, you cracked something in my mind...it's doable. Thanks a lot.
Glorious! Absolutely glorious! I wish I had a friend like you I would work and help for free. Thank you for sharing your videos, most of us can only dream of being so resourceful and talented like you are.
Andrew, you are what EVERY MAN in the world wants to be! I am 67 years old, worked out side most of my live and I have never seen anyone come close to your skills, for cite, creativity and overall work ethic. I have watched your channel only for about a week but I have seen MANY of your videos. For a young man I think you are GREAT!
Love the video. It was a courageous decision to mix the concrete in the dump truck. Too bad that you skipped almost all the pour though, I wanted to see how many batches it would take to complete it and how much time it would take.
Hi Andrew, I just want you to know that you have spoilt my Sunday. I jumped on my computer after breaky looking for some info on a project I intended doing today but a container house project caught my eye and well....many hours later my wife has called me for dinner and it's dark outside (Im in AUS) Was it a wasted day, not on your life. I once had a farm, machinery and like yourself projects but my friend I have to take my hat off to you. You obviously run on everyready batteries as your energy is astonishing, your skill level admiral and your drive is beyond reproach. I'm pretty sure I saw your daughter in one video squaring up a pole while you were tacking it in place and that my friend is the most credit you get; what an inspiration and guiding light you must be for her and I saw your wife getting stuck in too, mate you have made yourself proud in many peoples' eyes. Thankyou for filling my day and congratulations on all your great work. Cheers from across the waters mate
Every time i watch one of your videos, i am even more impressed than i was from the previous one. You have truly inspirational creativity, determination and talent that is so rare in the world today. Keep doin what you do. Awesome video bro!!
Ramon no one has ever entered heaven b/c of "craftsmanship" or any other work or deed; that is *"another gospel"* [Gal 1 v6-9]. *Salvation is by grace thru faith alone* w/o works: [Gal 2 v16/5 v4, Eph 2 v8-9, Rom 3 v20/11 v6, Mark 1 v15, Acts 16 v30-31, Acts 20 v21]. Those are merely a few of many verses of salvation by faith alone. Read Hebrews 11; the "hero's" chapter [all saved by faith alone]. I hope this helps you Ramon, I really do. If you'd like to know more I can help you.
Slow down Arron as he can only make them so fast. You must learn to savor the videos. I just watched the building of the grotto for the 4th time with another young friend of mine who stopped by this morning and ask me, Hey Uncle Mark, what is Andrew up to today and so i savored this grotto video with him. Like "Cool Hand Luke" you can re-watch again and again!
It's beautiful, Andrew. I can feel your pride in those final shots of the finished grotto. What you are doing is very important. You're showing us another way of being, a freer, better way. Your constant daily contact with the Earth has given you great wisdom. I feel so honored to be among your many devotees. There isn't anyone I would rather watch on RU-vid than you. Thanks for sharing what you do.
I had to watch this again as it epitomizes Andrews life. It really frames out his work ethic, skill sets and the inner push to get things done. I truly love the fact that he is not perfect and it shows in his projects and he is quite happy as it is the doing that gets him off. It is called accomplishment people and it is a great part of the human experience. So for you naysayers watch and learn!
Man, you're in a whole different time zone with the abilities ! Where did you learn so many trades? Your not old enough to have been that cross trained, I'm guessing a natural mechanical genius. You see a problem and your mind just computes the steps to accomplish it. Amazed by your talents!
Across the Hudson River - not far north of Andrew - Frederic Church built his famed house Olana. It'll be interesting to see how far Andy can take this property in the next twenty or thirty years. Maybe 100 years from now it too would become a tourist attraction.
Andrew....working backwards through your videos. Ingenience mind and tolerance foe risk, and determination....Artistry is awesome. Thank you for sharing....loving the show..
@@Builder99 mate you don't need to actually be in a relationship or live with a girl to hang out with girls or get laid....i know this might be news to you but...
Great! You are building your „little“ dreamplace right there. Awesome work. That hottub is awesome, like you said, a nice, cosy cave. Greetings from Munich, Tom.
Super video Andrew. Great "Hot Tub Idea", planning then step by step creating your dream (nice concrete mixing!), pleasant Baroque music from 19:00 and then a well deserved rest at the end. Appreciate your drone camera view of those rolling hills in upstate New York. So you got a Tower c/w crenellated ramparts, a Hot Tub; I wonder what's next? Keep up the good work. Eric in Vancouver, BC.
It would look amazing if you incorporated the natural stone to help it blend in and look more organic with its surroundings. Adding more colored rock/gemstone bits to the ceiling and inside on the side surfaces to give it a more magical feel and of course a water/waterfall feature would perfectly finish it up. You are creating an amazing oasis for your and your family.
Dude, you still amaze me with your determination and skill. If I feel this good for you, I can only imagine the pride you have in your own accomplishments. thanks for taking the time to share these videos with us.
