This video we build a custom Stainless exhaust System for the 1968 C1 Chevelle using Lyell’s Stainless Exhaust mandrel bent tubing with a boom tube on a cut-out.
We start by welding some 3” v-band clamps onto the headers and building a Y off of that to go towards the back of the car for the full exhaust system that goes over the rear axle, we figure out where we want our muffler to be placed and get it welded in.
Now for the fun part! we check out our 3” exhaust cut-out and get it mocked up on where we want our boom tube to exit, we weld on a 3” around to 3” oval adapter to the cut-out so we can fit some 3” oval 45 tubes onto it to make up a Y, then we weld on some 3” oval straight tube and cut them off to give it that Boom Tube look!
Wanna give a Big shout out to everyone over @LyellStainless for hooking us up with this hole System and making it possible to give the C1 Chevelle the Exhaust system it deserves, definitely hit them up if your looking for a high quality stainless exhaust system!
