Tay's cousin in contacted him a few weeks ago to see if he would build her a custom metal swing set and monkey bars for her back yard to keep her boys entertained. After she negotiated for the "friends and family discount" the build was a go and the material was ordered, time to get to work!
Some of the benefits of building a swing set / playground out of metal are: durability, stability, ease of assembly and transport, easy reassembly if you need to move it, and (perhaps most importantly) her boys have NO CHANCE of breaking it like a cheaper, store-bought version.
In this episode, Tay takes you along for more of the ride than usual, working through most of the math required to make this angular design and some of the more specific fabrication techniques he uses to get the job done. We hope this episode has something for the enginerds out there as well as the weekend DIY warriors and beginner welders.

In case you didn't know, LockPickingLawyer also has an 18 inch johnson. And usually, those stickers come off easily with a bit of isopropanol or acetone. Just soak them and then the adhesive should give way

That was quite a johnson!

You know...it's not the size of the johnson...its about how you use it!

Why wouldnt you weld the NUT on the back of the end plate so it was just the head visible? The end plate was never going to be stable because the bolt goes through the void in the tubing. Stakes arent required because that will be SO heavy Rather than a small plate gusset, I'd be using something like 4 bolt on bars 2 feet long supporting each leg to the top as you have a lot of weight up high.

Thats a good point, i suppose it would need a spacer inside the tube to keep the walls from crushing in on eachother... welp, the swingset is in paint now so I guess we're just going to send it! lol Thanks! - Tay

we have always had problems with stickers , and we found a simple solution ....simply insert 2 sticks of dynamite into tube , light and run ! WALA !!sticker will be gone !
