Building a Custom Truck Camper for my F-150 

i would recommend a Dutch style door just for safety reasons... because if someone pushed your tailgate up while you were sleeping, you would need to shimmy your way out from the windows, given how tiny they are, it would not be fun

I enjoyed every second of this build, I'm 54 years old and I never attempted a build like this let alone film it and post it, you were taught the correct way, raised the correct way, your parents should be proud as shit to have raised you, you are an intelligent, talented young man, stay on the steaight and narrow and you will be successful in aspect of life, awesome job my man.

Man words aren’t enough to describe what you have done. Sick, dope and awesome all rolled into one. My hat off to you man. You must have an awesome dad that was able to teach you to do that. Can’t wait for the first camping trip.

Just a suggestion. When running your wiring. You should put service loops at both ends and zip tie them neatly. So you’ll always have slack for unexpected issues. Especially since you didn’t get your green light immediately. Lol. In the inside battery compartment. You can make a circle on all your wiring then secure it to the wood walls withe cable tacks and zip ties. It’ll look neat and you’ll always have slack for you and the next owner. 👍🏾✌🏾

Well done! Wish I’d had time for my dad to share his skills with me… He would have loved building a tiny home with me! Just one note: PLEASE wear PPE when you are using spray paints and eye protection and a respirator when working with resins… it doesn’t take much exposure to cause lung damage!

Much cooler than i thought it would be

I’d recommend a Dometic or Advent RV air conditioner for the roof . Maybe sand the roof as well for a smoother textured fiberglass. Camper looks awesome . Great job with the electric as well. Amazing build. Enjoy! Also I’d recommend purchasing a garden sprayer, they are cheap compact and work great for washing things or even yourself! Fill with hot water and rinse anything you need with water pressure. I Look forward to the adventures Andrew!

Glad to see you! Missed your updates. I’m not sure if you’re like me but I thoroughly enjoy spending as much time as possible during the summer in our Coach. It’s a luxurious DP with all the amenities so one can literally spend weeks or months in it without being uncomfortable. Whenever I pack up to return home…I am literally kind of tweaking for the next trip and I’ve barely left the campsite. I literally begin to feel kind of cranky, sad and depressed if I haven’t spent some time in the Coach in a week or so. I love my home and wife but it’s hard to explain. I enjoy being alone with my dogs and doing the outdoor things that I enjoy. Anyway…glad to see your progress and really enjoy watching you work on it. 👍

Omg what an awesome build.Mate I'm very impressed. And I can tell you are so happy with how the new camper has turned out. Here in New Zealand we can't put in electrics if we are not qualified.all has to be done by a certified electrician. and you have to display the certificate on your windshield next to your vehicle Warrant of fitness and your certificate will only be valid for 4 years then you need to re certify for another 4 years and so on.Once again fantastic job my friend your friend mike from New Zealand 🇳🇿

As someone who grew up with a Dad who didn’t even want to spend time with his kids, I really feel happy when I know someone else had a present Dad. My Mom remarried a few years ago and although I’m grown I get a lesson or two on how to do things from a proper Dad. I appreciate those moments. He’s a plumber btw so some lessons are not always easy for me 😂 Edit: he raised my two brothers since he and my Mom started dating years back. I’m glad those boys have him.
