with all the work that went into this you end up using electric vacuum, why did you not use air power from compressor? You purchased a vacuum to run this, air is cheaper.
I learned long time ago the my showing you how to do something would be a waste of my time. You have shown that your ego is nowhere near capable of handling such a thing. I do not have the room for a big vac in my tiny shop, I build with the least amount of power tools a 10 x 20 garage can handle.

I need some help am building a system like this with a 250w 350m3/hour motor with 100mm input duct and I can't get 100mm duct tube here, only 90mm or 110mm, should I do the duct with 110mm tube or 90mm tube ? I'm thinking maybe the 110mm tube with a 90mm short tube on the end where it vacuums the dust from the cnc machine might be the best choice, can someone please advise ?
Excellent build! Probably the best dustextractor I found until now. Did you test if there is any difference when the gap between the baffle goes completely around or when it's partly closed (thien-baffle)? Thanks a lot for sharing!

Agree with others who have said your solution to sanding the inlet to the inside circumference is great! How much testing did you do to identify the best position (both vertically and opposing inlet) to the suctioning vertical tube? Perhaps you could do a follow up explains that? Thanks for sharing.

Eine technische Frage habe ich noch: Macht es einen Unterschied, ob das angesaugte Material, so wie bei Dir von AUSSEN an die Trommelwand gesaugt wird, oder kann man das Rohr durch den Deckel einführen, so dass das Material von INNEN an die Wand der Trommel geschleudert wird???
Schön wenn dir das video was gebracht hat! Hmm ich weiß jetz nicht genau wie du das meinst. Lies dir am besten den Wikipedia Artikel zu Fliehkraftabscheidern durch dann weißt du ob das was du machen willst funktionieren würde.
Was ist der Sinn von der Erweiterung? Ein kleiner Tipp: Anstatt das gesamte mit epoxytharz abzudichten verwendet man eine statische Dichtung wie einen O-Ring. Das bewegliche Rohr bleibt dann Fest, sonst gibt es einen Druckverlust.
Vorabscheider damit sich der Filter nicht zusetzt. Das bewegliche Rohr ist mit garnichts abgedichtet sonst wäre es ja nicht mehr beweglich. Es sitzt nur stramm in dem Loch

Inspiriert von Deinem Video habe ich mir auch so einen Zyklonabscheider gebaut, nur halt ohne Sichtfenster. Er funktioniert recht gut und etwa 90% der Sägespäne und des Staubs landen im Sammelbehälter statt im Werkstattsauger. Spielt es in dem Zusammenhang eine Rolle, in welche Richtung die Öffnung des senkrechten Rohres in Bezug auf den seitlichen Rohranschluss zeigt (im Video zu sehen bei 7:30)?

Hi Cosmos. Thanks for the build video. Im trying to understand why the inlet and outlet are at the same height? what if the inlet was below the baffle plate? Would this stop even more bits getting past the cyclone? Or would this not work?

Ich weiß es nicht auswendig aber diese Rohre sind überall gleich. Ist ein Abflussrohr glaub ich. Was ich für teile verbaut habe siehst du ja im Video. Ob du den Zyklon nun ein bisschen höher oder flacher machst ist für die Funktion egal. Viel spaß beim bauen :)
