There is a company in Ghana that has a good solution for this, but it is expensive. You have to remember that dampness is absorbed from underneath the blocks, not just the sides. The solution I saw was that they drilled holes all around house, and they pumped a damp proof chemical into the blocks to form a seal...of course you will still need to treat the sides as well....good luck.

I hope this treatment will help. The major reason for this is that most if the blocks (more or less) are like sponges (depending on the amount of sand used by their production, by the way the foundation wall was raised (blocksv starting already from deeply inside the soil with no protection) and the avoiding of non water proof cement. In addition there is no rubber protection around the complete foundation wall and no dump blockage layer when the blocks begin on top of the concrete foundation. All in the name of money. Understandable, maybe, but this problem will stay life-long.

Hi, actually we didn’t buy the chemicals but my worker did. So I wouldn’t know this. If you therefore need my worker services then he is available.

The damp is traveling through the wall blocks. Surface treatment alone won't cut it. It's from the ground, not just water splashing on an external wall. Don't do building without damp proof membrane and additional damp proof course material.

His own is not from the land, it's rain water and this treatment will fix it if the right bonding chemical was added to the concrete mixture.

Yes exactly @Yaa Baby Our case is different because it's not coming from the land but the rain causing it.

Did you put damp proof membrane (rubber) before casting the foundation?

This is not the solution to damp. It will still come again after some time. What you need is a permanent treatment and not this temporary solution. You need to buy “DRY ROD” and insert it under the first layer of block work just after the foundation. The problem is not in the plastering but the blocks. You can search for rising damp and solutions and you will understand what I mean better

The house is already built, what do you expect him to do? Bring the whole building down and rebuild?
