I always wondered that how the sharp electronic sounds come from handpan. I thought there is an electronic setup inside the instrument. Now I know a lot by this watching this video👏. Handpan reminds me of flying saucer😉.

I am wondering - Once the top section with the notes is tuned; when you attach it to the bottom section do the pitches change due to the enclosed space.

At 1:10 to 1:30 when shaping the notes/pan. Did you ever hammer from outside? or was this all done by hitting from inside. Im puzzled how you can get notes so flat from hitting around them on inside of shell.

At 1:05 you're pushing out all of the area that isn't a tone field, right? (With an air hammer?) But how did the tone fields go from curved to flat?
