Thank you so much for this display of conspicuous craftsmanship. All of your amazing joinery skills, all of the time that was required to acquire the skills to build this simple object. Wow. I’m blown away.
Hey Nic. Love your Channel. The timber frame is really insightful. Maby you should show us how you built your English workbench. Do a tour maby. Regards
@@NicTaylorWoodworking it look big enough for me come visit and we can do’s activities in there 🥰🐶 me and Django do lots zoomies and chase squeak balls and stuff 🎾🥰🐶
Crazy killer door build! Like that its off the shelf dimensional lumber. I'm surprised you didn't finish it before you put that awesome hardware on and hung?
The woodwork is great but, wow, whoever is filming and editing has that down. Really well paced edits, shots are all well balanced...seriously, quality stuff!
It’s a big one for sure! I actually don’t think I’ll be putting any window trim on, but yes, it would likely get in the way if I were. Thanks for watching!
Holy crap, Nic! That's looking amazing! And you can saw straight! (Some people are impressed with big doors, other with a skill like sawing straight. But it is a beautiful door!)
Time! haha.i’m going to be adding diagonal braces to both the large and smaller door. I was rushed for time and wanted to get the video uploaded before I was out of town for a few weeks.
I made the saw, but it’s not my design. Checkout Blackburn Tools. They sell parts and plans for frame saws and also have a video on how to build them. www.blackburntools.com/new-tools/media-and-related/dvd-build-your-own-classic-frame-saws/index.html
Am I right that the floor went in between last video and this one? I am interested to know how you did it. I.e. Is it tongue and groove structural floorboards? face nailed? And did you make them or buy them? Awesome work by the way, I'm very inspired to build something similar 😊
@@NicTaylorWoodworking Nice! Where are you out of? I'm in Tulsa, it's big enough for my taste, but not super big for a lot of selection on much online stuff.
@@shaungarbry88 I’m in Tennessee now, but lived in Seattle when I found the bits. Much more stuff online in a big city like that, but I feel like it’s easier to find random tools at antique shops now that I’m in Tennessee
