In this video, we make a start on building the 2022 reissued Tamiya Wild One with the aftermarket Knight Customs Sand Rail chassis conversion.
This Tamiya Wild One kit was purchased from L&LModels at cost. knight Customs gifted the conversion parts to RCKicks for review. No limitations have been placed on RCKicks and the views given are that of my own.
If you haven't seen the unboxing video, go and watch that first. • MOD TIME! Tamiya Wild ...

U can use Christmas ribbon. And some foil to make the seatbelts. Go to scale modeler channel on RU-vid and u can see at the ways he makes interior peaces look real

This is so awesome😲😲😲. The car looks amazing. The 3D texture is very nice on the "motor". Thanks for showing and all your efforts. This will help so many people👏👏👏

To fix the paint, after its dry I do use the hair dryer, it works good, no more finger prints on the paint.

Absolutely ridiculous price for 3D printed parts that have less than £10 in materials.
@RCKickschannel
@RCKickschannel 2 года назад
Yep, thats why its better to just purchase the files and print them local.

To eliminate "Bump Steer" you have to get the ball-end on the servo at the same height as the steering hubs. If you already know this I don't want to preach, I just want to teach.
@paulm7325
@paulm7325 2 года назад
Taller ball ends on the steering hubs would help. ;)

You really should get the aluminum wheels to complete the look , after putting that much effort into the build it deserves it .

Looks phantastic, but i think you need bigger rear wheels, it looks as the car has a pretty much nose high stance with the wheels you got on there. But all in all it will come out great !
@MrCaprinut

Gavin, you can get bent rod ends as long as you use 3mm rods. RC4WD is one of many manufactures that make those. I have used those in sorts of builds to gain space where it is tight. Alloy . Modelsport has several servo savers, like the Schumacher U4741 which is small and neath. The outer holes could be cut off if there is enough spae for the rod ends...
@RCKickschannel

I have purchased a different servo that should fix this issue after talking with Knight Customs. I will cover this in the next video :)

3D printing seems all the rage nowadays but despite the advances in technology, the 3D printed parts I have seen are all rather grainy and poorly finished. I appreciate that it is a good way to get custom parts fairly fast but considering the cost to make/buy them, it would be nice if they didn't need so much preparation work.

A metal chassis would be amazing but super expensive as it would take someone a long time to make one to this level.

That the steering depends much on the suspension travel seems to be manely cused by the 180° rotated servo horn (the steering bars are not horizintally). If there is any way to lift the servo and put the servo horn in downwards position that will help...

TBLeague/Phicen have 1/12 posable silicone figures (female and male) which would be a good fit. Plus, they would be more scale & probable cheaper in the long run. Pargu, over in Taiwan, sell aluminum rims for a number of vehicles
