This is a video on my steps to building a lightsaber crystal chamber. If your new to saber building and your looking for some ideas, I hope this video helps. Here's my previous crystal chamber how to video. • Building a lightsaber ...
Please make more videos on this topic or better yet a complete in depth DVD to buy. I am a visual learner and would love to learn how to make this as well as a complete saber all from scratch mostly. Ty. Chrystal chambers are pleasing to look at. Like the lathe work
not sure if you still look at these comments, but would you sell the second one you show in the begining? i think it looks awesome, and i need a smaller one for my current project, a custom shoto. Awesome video as well :)
windows_ _xp_ thanks! Yes I can sell the second CC if you want it. I need to figure out a price. You can email me at sethbwinegar@yahoo.com Thanks again!

This is excellent, thank you for sharing. Would you happen to know a suitable size lathe that would comfortably make (38mm diameter and below) lightsaber hilts ? Do you use 3d printed goth chassis with your Sabers or do you also make your own chassis to house the sound board and battery ?
Thanks, that video was some time ago. I’ve learned quite a bit since then. I started with a Sherline lathe and it was great for detail work with crystal chambers, but not sufficient for a full body lightsaber. I currently have a Little machine shop lathe and mill. The lathe is better than the Sherline, but now I’m wanting an even larger lathe, but you build a entire lightsaber if desired. I have not got into 3'd printing, but I have purchased a few items off Shapeways over the years. I usually just make my own chassis from metal and add Delrin if needed.
@@sethwinegar you’re very welcome. You’ve done an awesome job and thanks for the reply. I entered into the hobby a year ago and built my first Saber from scrap aluminium using a drop saw, drill press, tap and die and a polishing wheel. I went with a goth 3d chassis, verso board and tri Cree but I’m wanting to go the lathe option going forward. I wondered if you could let me know how you fitted the battery and sound board inside your aluminum chassis ? I’m keen to maybe try and go down the same route after seeing your channel. Best regards
Great video! If you don’t mind me asking where are you sourcing you threaded rods used for the small holes, I just ordered a few no.2 chassis discs and some spacers but wasn’t sure about the size or tread count I needed for the rods.
Andrew Browne they are 4-40 threaded rods. I get them locally at a hobby shop, but The Custom Saber Shop sells them or you might even find them on Ebay.
Awesome thank you! One more question if you don’t mind me asking, I bought a few valve adapters for holding the crystal. The problem is I’m having trouble finding a nut secure it on the other side of the chassis disc, any advice or do you know the size that I would use for that?
