In this video, I will upgrade my Tamiya 1/24 Castrol Toyota toms supra GT with a roll cage, seat belts, and dashboard. Like I said in my part 2 video, this is a kit that you have to build because it will test your modeling skills at the limit.
For the racing seat, I use some photo-etched parts and I apply the dashboard decals to have a good scale Toyota supra model car.
Thank You for watching and stay toon for upcoming videos.

Thank you Keith! The Supra is a nice and easy kit, hope that I can finish the decals this week. Your modeling skills will be better and better. You only need to practice. See you on the next video

well, long time no see :) looks nice, but why did you smeared the dashboard with silver paint?

Hey my friend, I wanted a "used" look, but it didn't work out for me LOL:)))) I think I will paint it black again

I think you can leave the floor and gear stick as they are, but the dashboard could use a flat black finish in my humble opinion :). I would look better when finished. Good luck with the decals! I know they're a pain in the knee, but I'm sure it will go smooth. I will soon start working on the Castrol Celica from Tamiya which is covered in decals as well. I'm thinking if it's still necessary to apply paint on the body since it's 90% covered in decals, hehe. I know I told you I'm working on it, but I did a Nissan 350Z (Tamiya) and a 1970 Pontiac Firebird (Revell) instead because I wasn't feeling too confident about myself. You can check the Pontiac on my channel - sadly I didn't make enough pictures during construction so it doesn't contain many details.

Yep, you can leave the body without painting it. Nice kit, by the way

hehe, it seems we've reached to decals at the same time. you for castrol supra, me for castrol celica :) I managed to paint the body, the rims, the interior is ready, but I'm so scared about these decals! I never applied decals that big. May the Decal God be with us!

LOL, I just destroy my paint from the hood, I need to repaint the body. I will deep in alcohol, clean it, and after that apply new white paint. Lucky for me I didn't apply decals yet. It was from Tamiya's extra thin glue.

:( oh, no! what the hell happened?! I hope you'll save it, I keep my fingers crossed! Meanwhile, I managed to paint the front lip and pop-up headlights in black. It has a tricky narrow lip in the front of the bonnet that need to be painted in black and I was so scared not to overpaint it. I think I broke the record for masking :) tape, plastic foil and liquid mask. But in the end it came up well and now the body is ready for decals. I need some Xanax pills so I can survive the stress :)) I'll start tomorrow.

I wanted to glue the hood air intake grills, and they didn't fit well, so I was thinking of applying glue in order to melt the plastic and fit the parts better, but the glue destroy the paint :))) Now is in alcohol and I will re - prime all the body.

yes, I'd had this issue in the past :( now I'm trying to mask the parts in the glue zone or scratch the paint with a blade until I reach the clean plastic. It's like chess, you have to think three moves in advance. I wish you good luck! meanwhile I'm having issues in applying the decals. they are very thin and once they are hydrated they become very fragile (be careful with yours, they probably are the same castrol decals). do a test in the back o the car until you get used to them...

LOL, this hobby is giving me more headaches than my job Thank's for the tip, I will be careful. Meanwhile, I primed the body with Mr. Hobby 1200 primer. It is looking very good.
