I have a strange voice on the microphone that's why I don't do voice over on videos 😀 If you need more info about the build, you can leave a comment. Thanks!
Where did you get those photo etched parts for the bonnet and seatbelts ? Also, what’s the purpose for the large transparent part D1 that seems to fit the chassis … ? Thanks in advance. Awesome build!
Hey! Thank you for your appreciation! You will find those PE parts for Porsche GT2 on scaleproduction. de. Here is the link - www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p982_hood-pins-rally--gt--touring-cars.html For the seatbelts - www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p984_seat-belt-buckles-set-2--4-sets-.html *here, I can't manage to fit the seatbelt decals ...they just don't stick For the large transparent part D1 can you please point to the video minute so I can have a look, I don't quite remember :)
hello. Amazing crafting and building. You build them more and more realistic, soon enough you'll catch up A4 Garage. I like your details, always worth it. Well done!
Looks awesome man. I am surprised by the full tub interior on this one but I guess this is a pretty old release from Tamiya. Turned out great in that colour.
Yep, you need to paint the kit :) Other things you need are --> an airbrush, paints, primer, sanding sponge, varnish, plastic cutter, air compressor for airbrush, clear glue for clear parts like windows, and a lot of spare time :))
Love it with those mecanics fixing things. Start of a nice diorama. I hate those decals on those subaru,s. Cannot get the whole on the car, even with decal solutions i got always problems
wow! best looking model so far 😋 just kidding, it's hard to take a pick. Congratulations! your skills are permanently improving, you'll soon step on A4 garage's steps, hehe. I managed to finish last night a new model, hope for some sunny days to take some pictures in full daylight.
Thank you! This Porsche was a nice model to build you should try to build one. Unfortunately has taken me a lot of time to build and now I'm way too tired :)) Now I've been struggling with the Subaru Impreza WRC for more than a month.
I know the feeling, I've been working on my last model for two months. I even had to repaint the entire body due to a small incident that affected the paint and I couldn't pass over it. But now I want to start building a Tamiya kit to recover myself after a Revell & Italeri kit. I need a break 😅, something to fit nicely without too many interventions.
Hey! For light colors, you need light primer like white. (If the color is red I use a pink primer to get a beautiful red) For yellow sometimes I use white primer + light yellow and after that spray the main yellow color. If you want to paint the car body with pink color my choice would be - gray primer (sand imperfections) - white primer and - pink paint :)
You should definitely try this kit :) Nice and easy to build, doesn't have many parts so you can focus on the body After so many built cars, I miss building an airplane :))
Which tool you are using for going over the body lines and make it detailed? Do you think it can be done with model knife or snap knife? Thanks for your help?
Hey! I use a cheap engraving tool from Revell. I plan to buy 0.2 mm engraving tool from Tamiya...when I save some money :)) You can go with a sharp knife I saw some people on RU-vid using it
contemplating if i want to get into building model cars like this ( i have practically zero patience) but i think when i finish the car it will feel good.
Hello Steve, one of you subscribers here in Manila, and would like to ask for your help or advise on how to remove these tamiya reverse decal that were off center/ misaligned on my 1/12 mp4/6 tire, so that I can reinstall a properly aligned Eagle decal opposite the Goodyear decal. What shall I use? Acetone, nail polish remover, microset, wd40, thinner, etc Many thanks for your help
Hey! Hard to say ..:))) I din't remove any decals from the rubber tires. I think that if you leave them in warm water for 30 -40 minutes will come off. If you sealed them with matt varnish ...reap them off with Isopropylic Alcohol with a cotton pad. Or just use some melting decal solution. *Acetone may leave some white traces on the tire
Very clean build! I appreciate a detailed kit; however, these Tamiya curbside kits are awesome. For better or worse, I have more than a few copies of this kit. 😃
Beautiful work. Those rear tires are the BEEF!! I love the rivets along the fenders but a quick scribe line along the flares may help to not loose them in the paint. The PE really adds the detail to this build and trying to put together that seatbelt harness looks like a lot of work. haha.
Hey! Thank you for stopping by and comment. Yep, you are right about the rivets, I was thinking of buying larger rivets...maybe next time :)) About the seatbelt harness ...it was very demanding :))
