Watch as my dad and I build a pole barn. We use discarded old power poles to build a pole barn. We start by notching the poles and creating a structure with power poles. We use two by six lumber to tie the poles together. Then we attach old and new roofing metal. We finish the project with flashing and some angled bracing using left over power poles.
This was my first attempt at filming myself working. It took me a year to finally review the footage and try to put it together. In the video myself and my dad were both injured. My dad had a broken hip and worked every day while in extreme pain. I hurt my back a week before we started the project, but continued the project. Looking back on the Construction Project, I am very grateful of my Dad for working through his injury. It was a project that we had planned to complete for many years.
