The issue I can see with your setup is that the seat isn't flat on the floor and parallel with your pedals, and the pedal base is at an angle instead of flat like it is designed to be so your heel won't glide across the base when you move your feet as they would in a race car - nor are you using your leg muscles fully because you are pressing downward into the pedals instead of straight forward from your waist and through the legs into the pedals. (Talking from personal experience, it makes a difference).
Enjoyed the video mate, you did well to get a quality wheelbase & monitor pre-owned for good prices otherwise it would top £4K. But no sim rig is complete without a decent PC, mine is new and I went full-bore (buy once, cry once) - it cost a ton! Also, absolutely worth getting a canopy / roof around your rig, I also run an ultra-wide snd did this a few weeks ago for under £50; makes a BIG difference in immersion for very little cost.
@@TerriblyRacing I followed this guide mate, only difference being mine is a flat "roof" with side panels for fuller enclosure. Well worth the little effort & cost: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zqt_0q5W59w.htmlsi=wL980MTdHLBH8Y64
-@@TerriblyRacing- I've commented twice but the comments keep vanishing, is it because they had a link to a YT video? That is what I used to get the info on how to build it! EDIT: How To Make A Sim Racing Canopy And Backdrop is what to search for.
