This is an inspired build!! Ageless design; this would be at home in an Art Deco house, a '60s/'70s Modern house, or any contemporary place. Fantastic work, Laura!!
I love that flip through design. Brought back memories of flipping through countless records at a record store. I always happen upon records in the store that I didn't know I wanted until I flipped to it in the store. How awesome it is that you now have that feeling at home. Love your work, cheers.
So peaceful watching a true artisan at work- as a dump and pour cook- the exact measurements are a mystery and marvel! Laura’s passion and joy come through in the smile!!
Right on, your video popped up in my feed today. As A carpenter, musician and person who grew up with records I really like this piece you built. Cool shop and tools. I really like your use of tape. The way you made that template was genius. This old fart learned a couple things from you. I subbed and I'm looking forward to checking out your channel.
To all you aspiring RU-vid creators out there - THIS is how you make a presentation! No waffling to camera, no shakey handheld phone work, no obligatory 'outages', no - oh, I could go on, but I wont. Not just a stunning piece of furniture (I was wondering about the speakers!) but a perfect video. Thank you Laura.
That is a beautiful piece of furniture and so practical. For most of this build I had no idea what you were doing. I love how you do reveals as you go along, like the curved end pieces, then the template to cut the curve panels, and the hidden JBL's at the end. Very clever.
There is not much technical information, but it is a pleasure to see your originality and creativity in your work, these are something different, congratulations.
hi laura , well...this is the most coolest built set up you have created n can tell that you really value your pride n joy for your collection of l.p s records as i do as well. i have my set up in my shop lol dont worry they are well takin care of from ...dust n others ...again well done n love it
Laura, that cabinet is EPIC! The design is everything it needs to be and nothing it doesn't - perfect meld of form and function. You've outdone yourself on this build. BRAVO!!
This design is gorgeous and so practical. I loved the gravity-based clamp that you made to hold the curved pieces during glue-up. Brilliant. Thanks, Laura. Seeing your satisfied smile as you succeed with a project always inspires me. #peace
Wooooonderful design and great construction of the cabinet with unique features! 👌🏼☺️ And as always - crisp cut and chill vibes... As well as the smile - well deserved!
As much as I love your videos and builds, I think seeing your face light up when things come together is one of my favorites. Keep building awesome stuff friend. 👍🏻👍🏻
Love this build. I like the small speakers hidden in the bottoms while you have records at the top. Throws people for a loop when they hear the music, but see the records. Nice work!
This is beautiful. I need and want one!! I love the black bass underneath. By bringing the cabinet higher it puts it in an even more elegant frame! Love the curved corners and hidden speakers. This is my favorite build you have made so far!
Such a cool unique design. So much vinyl storage and hiding the speakers in plain sight is a nice touch. Great editing skills your videos are always entertaining to watch. Great Job!
This is my new favorite of your builds!! The sleek art deco design works so well with the colorful collection of well loved records. Probably due to recent events, the hero/nerd sign brought a tear to my eye.
Beautiful project! You are a gifted gal! I always love seeing your various workshop tricks also, the fixture you made to hold the beveled sections together while the glue dried was simple but genius! You should do an episode on your “problem-solution” inventions. Thanks for another great vid!
Hi, great work! Love the shape and materials used... Watching in the end how you opened the cover, I had an idea... although it's cool and fun to take a knife to open that cover ;), another way can be that you can sew a small textile tag with your channel. logo embroided on it
It’s so beautiful. I love how I didn’t know where you were going with it until the end and was pleasantly surprised by the record storage above the speakers.
Brilliant, Fantastic, what else can I say about this project Laura but a very well thought out idea and plan, please please please keep these wonderful projects coming, as they are so inspiring to individuals like myself !!!!!! .
I love it's lines. If you do a lot of upholstering you should get your hands on a pneumatic staple gun for the size staple you prefer since you have air in your shop. I worked in a furniture manufacturing plant for almost 10 years. Once you use one of them you will never go back. Surprisingly they are not that expensive.
You need a long and narrow "LET GLUE DRY" weight for gluing edge banding, it looks like. Maybe pour some lead into a long and narrow U-beam. While watching this I had my pocket full of freshly picked black locust pods which I intend to sow out to create many small trees. I was constantly watching, during the less loud music parts, whether the static-like noise came from my pocket.
