Honestly, the inclusion of the monsters from Monsters VS Aliens would fit here, either on the main roster or as DLC. If not all of them, at least have B.O.B

For captain underpants’ final smash, it could be George and Harold doing a flip-o-Rama of the captain beating up the enemy which would be weak hits until mr. Krupp comes in and rips up the page, dealing so much damage

Honestly the only missed opportunity here is not adding a character from their earlier works mainly the pre-shrek 2 films like road the el-dorado, or antz. Would be a nice way to show dreamworks past that’s been forgotten for a long time

I'd swap Oscar for Barry B. Benson

For the Arcade mode, make Death the Akuma of the game and the only way you can face him is by beating the Arcade mode without dying once. Also, maybe Tai Lung could be the final boss of the Arcade Mode.

I think there was a missed opportunity to have the Dreamwork’s logo as a fighter. He could use crescent moon based projectiles and the fishing rod as attacks and focus on map control.

I love how Captain Underpants is in here. One for the homies- respect For another character, or should I say characters- how about George and Harold? They’re could work like the ice climbers is some aspect, but instead of ice, they use the hypno ring, super soaker, their skateboards, or literally anything, the possibilities are endless! For another video, how about a roster for a Disney smash bros, or even a Microsoft one, as it’s the only console to not ever have a fighting game on it.

Also, because The Bad Guys was based on a Scholastic book series, I think they can get the rights for Captain Underpants. As for character suggestions, I have a few. If this game becomes real and has this roster, i'll buy it just for Jack Horner and Megamind.

There are a few more things that you could add that would make it better: 1. Hiccup and Toothless being separate fighters doesn't really make sense. I could see them more being similar to Duck Hunt Dog or Ice Climbers from Smash Bros, two fighters working together as one playable character 2. Jumping off from the previous point, if Hiccup and Toothless become one fighter, maybe you could have Susan from Monsters vs. Aliens replace the missing slot? I would potentially see her as an agile fighter who would be difficult to hit but would have a mechanic that allows her to change her size (similar to the cartoon that I haven't seen people acknowledge). The tradeoff for this mechanic could be that the bigger Susan gets, she would hit harder, become bulkier, and reach further, but as a downside would end up becoming heavier, slower, and easier to hit. Her special attack could be something like Mega Man or Shulk, where her allies could come in and deal some damage, and she could deal the final blow 3. If this game were to have an arcade mode, I could see it having ten rounds with three lives each, with Shen always being the final match. And it could have a secret boss with thematically appropriate requirements. those requirements are: play it on the highest difficulty, and on the nine matches leading up to the final match, either die once on all but one match, or twice on four of them. then when you get to the final match, have the announcer get cut off from telling the player who the opponent is, have the arena be different, obscure the opponent and his icon in a dark smog, and as it fades away, have it accompanied by an all too familiar, bone-chilling whistle, until it reveals that Death is your new opponent. and as an extra bit of difficulty, he'll have the most aggressive AI in the game, both of you have one life each, and losing to him means that you have to restart from the very beginning 4. If there was a story mode, there could be a good amount of fun character interactions sort of like Dissidia Final Fantasy (IIRC). And if Susan did get into the game, I could see her and Ruby Gilman becoming great friends almost immediately, since, at least to me, I see a good amount of similarities between the two of them

I have an idea: when jack reaches into his nanny bag, a small menu pops up kinda like heros from smash bros, and you can choose his magic staff and his other stuff, and his ultimate would be the magic snacks

King Julian: Have him use mort as a melee and ranged weapon. he swings mort around to attack and can pick up mort and throw him at his opponents.

I would add Miguel and Tulio from Eldorado in the game. Both are good at swordfight, are agile and smart. Miguel can attack the others by smashing them with his guitar, Tulio can evade their moves and use Chell to kick them like Peach does with Toad. Would be cool to see! Since you put Jack, why not putting Pitch Black? He could evade everything by hiding in a shadow then sends nightmares to attack them. A move as terrifying as him 🙂 If this game would be made, it would be cool to have voice-acting. The characters could say a few lines before they fight and during the battle. Po would scream when he uses Kung-fu, Miguel can say '' Take that! '' when he uses his guitar, Pitch can do an evil laugh when he sends a nightmare against his adversary etc.

The whole point in The Boss Baby as a character is that he's a baby that does adult things. I don't think you can treat him the same way as the Rugrats, who are realistic babies. (I realise I may be taking this discussion a little too seriously.)

I think that the DLC would make for a great opportunity to include some of Dreamworks' 2D characters like Sinbad, Eris, and Miguel and Tulio. They're kind of overlooked when it comes to the current Dreamworks brand because they haven't done a 2D film in a long time but they're still well loved by fans and I could see some of them getting in due to fan demand a la Jenny and Hugh from Allstar Brawl. Also it could be a rights issue but Wallace and Gromit would be super cool to see too.

So glad you included my boi Captain Underpants there, even if he is DLC. Having him in a platform fighter would be a dream come true.

Madagascar characters have actually been confirmed for the kart racer! As well as a stage! They were just waiting to show them for a bit, for some reason lol.

Give the 2D Dreamworks characters some love. Sinbad or the El Dorodo boys would slap. Also make a Disney Villains fighting game roster next

Gotta say, if a dreamworks fighting game were to happen; they'd cram "The Boss Baby" and "Trolls" in.

I think Barry B Benson could have a fun, unorthodox moveset that involves using different Bee Jobs from the movie, and it would be great if he had a stinger move that did a ton of damage but also killed himself.

STAGE IDEAS FOR EACH CHARACTER: Jack horner: wishing star map hazard: the wishing star walls will slowly close in on itself causing the fighters to move closer together like in the movie before going back out again ruby gillman: prom boat map hazard: the boat will sink downwards making the fighters to have to retreat the higher levels of the boat to avoid drowning until the water lowers shrek: his swap (obviously) map hazard: dragon (Elizabeth for die hard fans) will come will swoop in from he background and breath fire for 5-10 seconds on a specific random part of the map before flying of with the ground still on fire as the fighters avoid walking into it po: jade palace with the two separate platforms on the side being the peach tree mountain and the training hall building map hazard: a breeze of peach tree petals will fly around the map following the nearest fighter that when it catches up to them it fly of the stage with the fighter in its grasp tigress: the bridge the furious five and tai lung fight on map hazard: the bridge will break or loose its grip and collapse causing the fighters to have to jump across and fight on the rocky chasm platforms the bridge once hung before instantly half a minute later or less repairing itself in-between lord shen: shens series of boats going down the canal with his wolf army from from the 3rd act of kung fu panda 2 (as the combatants are able to jump from boat to boat) map hazard: shens canon will fire a lit cannon ball that will fly across the stage that explodes when it reaches the end making the combatants having to jump over or get out the way of master oogway: the spirit realm map hazard: kai's chained blade will swoop out from off screen and yank whoever it hits off stage aggressively as you hear kai's laugh doing as the background sky will turn green with his theme tune playing before the hazard even happens to alert the players to avoid it megamind: his "secret lab" map hazard: minion piloting the black mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in minions words and will bust through the roof playing a song on the boom box and will accidently causing the debris of the roof to collapse onto the fighters with the brain bots watching as minion tries to clean up the mess being the kind hearted character he is only for more debris to fall on the players before minion awkwardly walks away in the black mama suit titan: the city square map hazard the pointed edge of the sky scraper that titan threw in the film will slide across the street of the map of screen form the side map causing damage to anyone who torches the point to be impaled hiccup and toothless: the hidden world on a large flat crystal platform with the dragons flying around in the back ground map hazard: a random dragon of any kind will fly up next to the platform and breathing whatever element they have onto the stage puss in boots: the floating debris and objects of the 3 bears and goldy locks' destroyed house map hazard: the wishing star map will appear within the grasp of one of the fighters causing the 3 bears and goldy to chase after that fighter and accidently causing damage since their nice people and not evil if they get close enough making the fighter have to pass the map to the other fairy godmother: the performance stage outside the castle of far far away (obviously) map hazard: mongos the giant gingerbread man's foot will smash down on a random player giving them a warning once they hear his godzilla like roar Mr.Wolf: the car chase with the police as the fighters are jumping from car to car map hazard: an overhead road sign will swoop over the cars smacking anyone who is onto of the tallest car off the stage Grug: the slap monkey cave map hazard: the giant slap monkey will drag his giant hand across the map making the combatants having to hump over it or else they will be scooped from the stage Alex the lion: the entirety of Alex map hazard: if the fighters even go into the crowd the zookeepers will come and will tranquillise the player causing the player unable to move their fighter for 5-10 seconds the penguins: new york street near daves submarine ship from penguins from Madagascar map hazard: a stampede of mutant penguins will run around the stage trampling the combatants king julian: the plane that the penguins make in the 2nd film as its flying map hazard: the plane will crash before going back in the air again which the only way to avoid it is it jump as soon as the plane hits the ground captain underpants: the elementary school map hazard: poppy pants will appear in his giant toilet robot and will shrink the nearest player from around the building bonus map: isla nublar from jurassic world camp cretaceous (since dreamworks was involved with it and also tell me ideas for the map hazard for this map and also tell me your favourite map)

I think it'd be hilarious if all the Penguins stood on top of one another like a totem pole and just walked around like an individual character.

A character i wanna mention is Ken from Bee Movie, he in the film was shown as an agressive guy who was more than willing to get physicial. And seeing as he already has attacks you can adapt (winter boots, Tennis, and fire) he could flow easily into a platform fighter

If I could only make one addition, it would be Chantel DuBois from Madagascar 3, she's just up there with the more iconic and powerful antagonists

Another character (o pair of characters) that would work really well as a tag team is Miguel and Tulio from Road to El Dorado. I feel they could either work with ice climbers gimmick or Sheik/Pokemon Trainer gimmick. I will admit, they would be tricky to figure out, but they are a pair of rogues, I feel they can work in a fighting game. Also, the city of gold would be an amazing stage for the hypothetical game.

I feel like if we’re doing Over the Hedge, we really should have one of the main heroes in there- if we’re letting the Penguins and Julian in, when they’re not very big characters, someone like Hammy for a lot of small, quick melee attacks could work. Or RJ using his golf bag of assorted junk. Verne could be a more defensive fighter. Not sure, I just feel like if anyone gets in from that franchise, it’d be one of the animals.

The Vermintor's super move should be a callback to the movie's climax where he is zapping the opponent with a taser until the both of them trip and fall into a cage trap and get attacked by the Depelter Turbo with the same cinematic shots from the movie, including the main animal characters watching on the side.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of this, a Universal/DreamWorks platform fighter is something that's been on my mind since NASB1 and Multiversus popped up. I think the roster is mostly good, though I wish there was at least one 2D era character like Miguel and Tulio as well as Diane from Bad Guys as DLC as she has a lot of combat experience and has a whole secret lair of gadgets, plus Alex could have a meter to activate his "savage" state from Madagascar 1. And I think what would really elevate it's roster is if it were to pull from some of DW's streaming shows as well as it's back catalogue of old shows from DW Classics, like She-Ra, someone from Voltron and Trollhunters, Kipo, LarryBoy, Casper, Felix, Mr. Magoo, Fat Albert, Frosty, Rudolph, really the possibilities would be near endless with that treasure trove.

I feel like Death would get in over Big Jack Horner because he will be in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing but only the Digital Deluxe Edition over Big Jack Horner I presume unless if Big Jack Horner is in the game as well and also to correct you on if Madagascar characters will be in the game or not, It's basically confirmed that there will be Madagascar characters in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing because in the game's overview/description it was confirmed that New York City Zoo from Madagascar will be a track in the game.

I mostly agree with your roster, but I would omit a Shark Tale Rep since it wasn't that good, and I would add Kitty Softpaws, Humpty Dumpty & Death from Puss in Boots, Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda and include Pinocchio & Gingy for a fun tag-team fighter like Ice Climbers EXCEPT it's mostly Pinocchio fighting up-close with Gingy adding mostly projectile based combat, look to how Pinocchio & Gingy fight in Shrek Superslam for a better idea as to what I mean.

For Over the Hedge, I think that RJ would have enough to work on for his moveset. He literally has a bag of gadgets to work with mainly the fishing rod, grabby dinosaur hand thing, the wagon. Also, I think the Verminator would be more of a trapper because that's what he does in the movie. I think your choices were great otherwise. I wish this were real. Also, Moses from Prince of Egypt. And the Moon Kid from the Dreamworks logo.

Since Universal owns DreamWorks, my wild-card pick would be Blue. DreamWorks made Camp Cretaceous and Blue would likely initially be seen as the WTF second/third-party fighter, but soon after praised for her dangerous speed and combos.

Im not just saying this for the memes but I feel like barry b benson as a character could be super fun and unique. Using moves based on real life bees, the jobs the bees have in the movie, and the honey jocks as a super move that has a horde of them rush across the stage

I feel like Oscar could be a really fun joke character, like Phoenix Wright in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Maybe make his attacks rhythm based. Also, I feel like Hammy might also make for an Over the Hedge good rep. Have him be a rushdown character that's easy to launch but can deal considerable damage in a short amount of time in the right hands. He should definitely have his super speed and time stop, but also take from their arsenals from the video games. The fishing hook from the console game might make for a good up special and the boomerangs might make for a good neutral special. His down special could be an energy drink that acts as a counter, slowing down attackers al a Witch Time. Side B is just a super dash. Also, I disagree with the size issue. If Smash Bros is anything to go by, size doesn't matter. If you need further proof, I direct your attention to Super Robot Wars Z3.1 where you can defeat The Anti-Spiral King from Gurren Lagann with the Scopedog from VOTOMS- two characters of DRAMATICALLY different sizes. There's a video of just that on RU-vid. Sorry for the wall of text. I just REALLY love Over the Hedge...

I think Boss Baby would be added in a DreamWorks fighting game for the reason that m his franchise is more slapstick and "action" oriented, also no Rugrats in NASB is apparently just a decision on the devs of wanting to have Reptar as he's a cooler option for a fighting game. Alex could be interesting if you had him with a "savage" mechanic that has him turn wild like in Madagscar 1 after he's too hungry, he'd be stronger and faster for a while or perhaps more likely to deal critical hits with higher knockback.

I'm happy you included the Captain in dlc. I loved those books growing up and the movie was good,too. Since DreamWorks helped make the Netflix series, maybe that proves they can use him here.

I feel like Hiccup should work more as a trapper character, maybe sort of like snake. Hiccup has a sword of fire, and a few traps things.

Some other characters I would probably add are Tulio and Miguel from Road to El Dorado, Rocky from Chicken Run, Sinbad from Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Wallace and Gromit could be guest fighters, Roddy and Rita from Flushed Away, Barry from the Bee Movie (that would be a must), Ginormica from Monsters vs Aliens, and I’d probably add Death in there as a fighter and Foxington in her whole getup (I don’t want to give anything away, if you know you know).

I'd want more Rise of the Guardians representation, and would definitely put Jack in the base roster. I loved that movie...

The penguins could play as the Ice Climbers and Rosalina and just be a complex as hell set up character

Honestly, I’d have 1 major character from each movie for the main 20 Roster, Shrek, Mega Mind, Barry B Benson, Oscar, Hiccup, etc. I think adding the animals from over the hedge instead of Verminator as a main roster line character would be better seeing as how RJ can be utilized like characters such as Steve, Game and Watch, Pit, etc by giving him 2 maybe 3 weapons he can use like a gulf club, boomerang, laser pointer (that would obviously act like a shooting weapon) that he can pull out of his bag, the one he has in the movie. I also think that the trolls could work as assistant fighters, like the trophies in smash or poke balls. Also, I think adding George and Harold would be super funny, especially because they could work as the Ice Climbers of the game.

It'd be nice to see you make a sequel video about a potential Season 2 Season Pass video, but if I were to choose the characters, I'd choose the following characters: Miguel, Tulio and Chel (as a Trio fighter) [The Road to El Dorado], Sinbad [Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas], Spirit [Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron], Chelsea Van Der Zee [Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken] and Tzekel-Khan [The Road to El Dorado] And as a bonus free DLC character: Moses [The Prince of Egypt] (Yup, Moses. He would be a zoner, and he would "fight" by performing God's miracles). And The Wolf/Death [Puss in Boots: The Last Wish], unlockable after defeating him in the Arcade mode (or as a paid DLC)

I still think that any HTTYD reps would work better as the riders astride their dragons (it allows for more slots to be taken by others), but this is still a good base to make a platform fighter around.

Here are a few more ideas for the characters special moves: Shrek’s Super Move can be similar to Shrek Super Slam where Shrek explodes green gas cloud of flatulence Same as his Super Move in Super Slam, Puss in Boots can unleashes his iconic adorable/cute face (which unleashes a hypnotism ray that stuns any targets within range), then gets on all fours and charges in a stampede. (Similar to Lucario’s Final Smash) Megamind’s Super Move, he’ll use the death ray to the players for a short period of time. Both version of Fiona’s Super Move can be similar to Super Slam where you have her human form tosses out short-ranged-homing shuriken while slightly airborne and her ogre form unleashes her singing skills to fire a volley of music notes that slam her target(s). Tigress’s Super Move, she and the rest of the Furious Five can beat up a player and ending off with Tigress kicking the player’s head

Whenever I think of this subject, one idea I always keep having is the prospect of one particular roster inclusion that I think could be a really funny joke character. And out of all characters for me to think of, that character is... Melman from Madagascar. I know it sounds too farfetched even as for a joke character, even compared to other possible weird ass characters you'd pick from Madagascar, but I don't know, I just think Melman could be a really funny joke character. Recent examples like The Iron Giant in Multiversus shows that giant playable characters can still work in platform fighters (and I'd argue that they've always been possible as early as games like Tatsunoko vs Capcom with Gold Lightan), and mainly, the idea of playing as a friggin giraffe in a platform fighter with a massive intentional handicap of a large exploitable hurtbox could make his nonsensical inclusion sound hilarious to me. He can still throw hands (or hooves) with his long ass legs and neck despite how neurotic and paranoid he is (traditionally non combatitive characters still miraculously able to fight in fighting games is a common trope, especially these days), some of his moves can be pulled from the Madagascar video games like his hovering helicopter move (yes, that happened), he could have some funny costume potential with his witch doctor getup in Madagascar 2 or the clock on his head in Madagascar 1, maybe I'm crazy, but I see a fun potential idea with this.

These are such great ideas I love it, but me personally, I would replace Oscar with Ginormica from monsters vs aliens

Now I kinda wanna see this with other movie companies like Sony, Disney and maybe even WB

I have my own pitch for a platform fighter, but instead its a Universal Studios platform fighter that includes characters from not only dreamworks but also illumination, Blumhouse, and other other IPs Universal owns

While Monsters vs Aliens isn’t the most notable Dreamworks movie, it’s pretty well known and did well, so I could see B.O.B or Ginormica making it into the roster.

I would personally like to see some characters from Monsters vs Aliens make it in. B.O.B. in particular could have really interesting moveset, and if MultiVersus can get away with having Iron Giant then I don't see why Susan Murphy A.K.A. Ginormica shouldn't be added.

If this game was real I would hope they add death and Goldie and the 3 bears because that would be awesome

Not having Death in this game is a crime. The interactions you could have with Puss would totally be kick ass

Extra ideas: -Purse lady from Madagascar: this games version of Captain Falcon, quick and nimble with high output and combo potential but is easily punishable and has a low amount of options -Death - Akin to Cloud. Fairly simple to use swordsman with somewhat lackluster stats at first, but his down B is a counter that boosts his stats each time it hits. He goes from lackluster to terrifying if he is able to hit this counter 9 times. -Bob - Need to watch the movie again for abilities lol but I def feel like he could work -Wallace and Gromit - Could work like Rosalina and luma/Tom and Jerry, Wallace splits from Gromit and they can do cooperative attacks together. Alternatively, all the attacks could revolve around Wallace casually walking around the battlefield not even knowing there’s a fight going on while Gromit protects him and actually deals the damage -Moses - Your average mage character, attack could revolve around the plagues such as famine dealing overtime poison damage or frogs being a projectile.

My mind instantly went to a Zelda/Sheik thing for Fiona so it was satisfying to hear you say the same thing

Kitty Softpaws should be one fo the DLCs because she is the GOAT. On top of that, I think Death would make a better villain representative from the Puss in Boots movie than the guy you chose (who I hate and have forgotten the name). Death could add a lot of variety, being a heavy but fast paced fighter who attacks with his scythes

for the penguins and the bad guys characters, you could do something similar that NetherRealm Studios did for the Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2. And have all of the other characters be a part of Skipper, and Mr. Wolf's Super Moves or something like that.

You should’ve included Eris from Sinbad, her teleporting floaty nature would’ve been really fun to use. Also El Dorado would’ve been cool, Miguel and Tulio as an ice climbers duo with Miguel using his guitar for close range and tulio throwing loaded dice as ranged.

Added bonus with Hiccup as a swordfighter, in the books, he's the best swordfighter in the Archipelago so it pays an extra nod to the books making him a primarily sword based character

They should have Little Red Riding Hood as an extremely broken character like in Shrek Super Slam.
