Neat. This answers my question. Am interested to know how you managed to guarantee that the head tube angle was perfectly inline with the axis. Seems to me that is a precision part that’s crucial to the accuracy of the final steering alignment. I would prefer the |_| shaped part to be made from bright square internal U section material, with the side pivot holes precision drilled. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks. Literally mentioned at the beginning of the video. A 6ft length of that tubing is over 5x stronger than the entire weight of a typical motorcycle. But this is a chassis building jig, NOT a motorcycle stand or lift (which are far less robust) for supporting an entire motorcycle. These are different things. An entire motorcycle obviously won't fit. Part of the reason the spindle is offset is for balance, I'm turning it with two fingers. Easy. But that's just a convenience. It doesn't need to be balanced let alone perfectly balanced. Motorcycle frames only weigh 20-30 lbs unless we're talking big cruisers which are still only around 50-80 lbs. My portable jobsite table saw weighs more than that. It's enough to pinch a finger, but not near enough to kill someone. This jig is child's play.

Very popular among pro builders. But what does anyone else know? You chimed in with perfectly logical armchair assumptions without even watching or consulting a load table.
