Boomer, you are a great inspiration and mentor. Again, my condolences on your brother's passing. Taking time to reflect, mourn and heal is wise. Go fishing, chasing trains, and enjoy your summer. We'll be here when you're back!

Excellent work, very realistic. I really like the different sized rocks , looks prototype! Also I like how you get projects completed in a reasonable time frame.

Hello Ken thank you for sharing these awesome sectional layout segments. Very instructional. Just wanted to share that it was your video years ago on HOn3 and Blackstone that really got me interested in narrow gauge and made me switch to this scale last year. Best wishes and hope you recover from your current injury.

Great job Ken. How about an On30 layout and Bachmann how about some new On30 product!! The fan base may have shrunk, but it hasn’t gone away.

Great video and show. Only thing I would say is to make sure your engines have the fireman and engineer in them when you are filming your run bys. With an empty engine running by you take away from all the great scenery that you are using to make it realistic.

Boy, would I hate to clean/dust that basement!! Oh my goodness, just unbelievable what it would take. I'm really surprised you're not worried about getting paint dust all over your trains.

Wonderful! I love the idea of a small switching layout/section that can be placed into something larger. I assume you just used a small piece of track to bridge the gap? THAT is something that I'm not familiar with, how to connect two separate pieces and have it run smoothly while still looking like a good model and believable.

In the old days when a model railroader with dye his house to be sold and his model railroad that took forever to build and operate would be destroyed because for the most part they were not movable. Now since a model railroad is considered to be a valuable asset to a house the way a pool is there are agents that specialize in homes that have model railroads built into their basement. If you were going into our neighborhood and you could have bought a house for the same price and had a beautiful model railroad less rolling stock in the basement you would have bought the house with the pre-built layout if you had known about it. The big prefabricated layout like from Dunham's studios and stuff upon the owners Jess they can take them apart and take them home and sell them for the benefit of the owners widow. Of course some people don't realize the value of stuff that they have and toss it out with the garbage. I got a beautiful antique BSA motorcycle that was about to be scrapped with the from an estate sale in Georgia. The guy who bought the bike sold it to me at a fantastic price. I could not believe they were going to scrap it with the lawn furniture. But it seems that kind of stuff still happens.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience, it is Truly appreciated!! Does your work area have any kind of exhaust system with filters so you don’t have to breathe all the dusts?

How do you connect the rails on the older section to the rails of the newer one? Did I miss that? Is the old section still removable to insert a new one? How? Thank you.

Hi, Labelle Lubricants makes a track cleaner kit, Lube/Cleaner i(Kit 135) safe for all materials used in mfg track, plastics and metal. Once finished cleaning, will leave a very thin film on your track to improve electric conductivity which eliminates the dreaded "headlight flicker" Headlight flicker tells you your DCC packets are breaking up, and Labelle #135 improves that performance. Even on "DC" only track it will make trains run better and smoother at low Just google Labelle Lubricants for Free Video on all Labelle Model Train Lubes and Maintenance items.
