Here is a update on my shipping container garage. We just started putting supports up and will be putting more up as well. The wood trusses are arriving December 18th and will be starting the roof part then. The container on its side on top is now welded to every container and supported on the inside. Need to solve the water issue tho. I’m sorry! I filmed this with my iPhone I usually use my go pro that has a stabilizer. Won’t do a iPhone again!

Flip that container, it is not engineered to lay on it's side!!!! Buy 2 more have and have a 19' ceiling height. Flip the container before it fails.

The containers have supports and are welded together. It will easily take the weight of snow and won’t tip over due to wind. Had a 80 mph storm last week nothing moved

The container serves many advantages. Structurally that is welding everything together and also saving me money the price for more roof was more then double the container

Why did you put that top one on its side? From a structural standpoint it doesn’t make sense to me

@@tandtlandscapeandmasonry if you know how they are designed you would not put it on its side. all the structure is on the corners and placed right way. there is almost nothing struckture strenght on the sides, just the corners.

@@tandtlandscapeandmasonry but you will still not have as much structure strengt. and you cant put anything up there, because the sides are not designed for any load.

@@56coupedeville I store all my sanders on the roof of shipping containers. The sides can take the weight of those no problem. The roof metal is weaker than the sides.
