Building an AUX Line IN Circuit for my 2004 Cadillac CTS

My Sirius Satellite Radio died a few weeks ago and instead of dropping more $ on a new one, I decided to just use my mobile phone instead. The problem is that my 2004 Cadillac CTS does NOT have an AUX Line in to support it. So, after some research, I found something that will let me add one!
In this video, I'm just building the circuit and testing it. I'll need to find a better time to install it in my car (that will be a another video sometime in the future).

Had a similar dilemma with the stock radio in my 03 Hyundai. No aux input and got feed up dealing with the FM Transmitter. Main purpose was to get an aux input for my car to listen to my podcasts, but it's unbelievable what an after market radio can do to improve the sound in your car as well. Ordered a new radio from Crutchfield and installed it myself with their step-by-step instructions that come included with the radio. All for $140.00. Could be a better option. Cool project though.

An FM transmitter would be so much simpler. If they are legal in your state.

Tae Shands I went to Radio Shack. Most definitely NOT the cheapest route but I wanted my parts right away. I might try Mouser Electronics online.

dude you complicated your life for no reason. all you need is a certain adaptor to attach to the back of the radio

Joanna Pardo I don;t have the car anymore so it's not a big deal but when I was looking for an adapter to just add an Aux-In, there wasn't anything available or cheap. It was a neat project (and cheap) to do so nothing really lost on it.
