The year is 2032. Andrew has almost completed his 10,000 hour base challenge. He looks forward to trying Space Engineers 2, which came out 3 years ago, but will probably take a few months break first. Nice work, bud. For real :)
Your videos are bringing my spark back to the game alone, thanks Andrew!! It can freak me out a bit getting back into it but these help shut my brain off and want to start again
Oh, & they'd B in different biomes, 1st one in the safe shallows, 2nd in the grassy plateaus, final in the north blood kelp, with a view of the entrance to the lost river.
Instead of building a new one for each time, why not continue from the 1 min build. So u gotta keep in mind the expansion as thats how most bases grow.
Hi can jou build a survival ship dat has Ion and hydrogen thrashers dat runs on the plasma reactor mod it need to have a hanger , assembler , and refinery ?
It does have power via the batteries, but no actual power generation :/ That's a huge flaw but you could bring in a ship with the connector and charge the base that way, so it passes!
I was on my old account I made with my school email. So, I was never able to comment on your videos, so I finally made my own account. I don't think I ever said thank you for the gift of space engineers I won from you. It has brought me so many hours of joy and I think about it every so often. I'm glad you're still creating Space Engineers videos. I hope you're doing well!
A timelapse of a 10 hour base would be awesome. But what I would really like to see is a video covering what your ideal set of mods would be for a set of must-have mods for any playthrough. Basic mods you would have as a starting point that would provide a good experience as a starting point, but also as a good launching point for a functional modlist.
I hope to one day make a video like that, but I'm not very well versed on the latest mods. Maybe I'll do a video on the ones I usually use and why I use them but I'm sure I'll miss loads of cool ones!
@@AndrewmanGaming That's alright! Everything has a start somewhere! Maybe you can just show them off while doing a free-from build or something, show them in action so people can see how they work in use? Either way, thanks for replying!
My big takeaway from this challenge was that your voice goes up in pitch proportional to the urgency of your deadline. :D Though per spenzien's comment below, editing your 1-hr block placement in time with the game music beat was pretty smooth.
The hour long build was really cool! Actually, so was the ten minute build, def a starter build. But yeah the hour long one could easily be a full base. Very good, lots of potential. Base building is great and yeah a 10 hour base would be amazing!
The window walls actually do have a common block, it's just unintuitive. It's the original vertical window block, which is the common block for the original sloped window, the window walls and the viewports.
After 100 hours from starting a save, my base still looks like the first one. At this point, I have to question why I play this game since I never build anything bigger and better.
@@AndrewmanGaming Well I wouldn't recommend a 16 hour mining ship build... but a 16 hour Defensive Base or Platform... or maybe a Capital Ship... with a constant wave of enemies attacking as you try to work. Hmmm... maybe 2 waves of an appropriate amount of enemies in a hostile environment for the 10 minute challange, 10 waves for the 100 minutes, and maybe 25-50 waves for the 1000? Could make for some interesting stuff. 😁
I needed some of that sense while building it! In editing I was yelling at myself for not just going with the original solar panel which fits on roofs lol
