Postcolonial Space: Dr. Masood Raja
Since I claim to be a postcolonialism scholar, I think it is apt to include a brief description of my field of study. In my view, Postcolonialism ( also written as Post Colonialism or Post-Colonialism) is a dynamic field of literary study that focuses on the history of colonialism and native responses to the colonial policies and life after colonialism formally ends. The field of postcolonialism also offers insights into the literature and culture of the the former European colonies and their struggles after the end of colonialism.

I think this idea of liberal bystanding is very strong. I see it when people are uncomfortable talking about colonial history, when people think not picking a side is being unbiased, when they "try to stay out of politics" if it doesn't concern them. Liberal bystanders are close to the truth but far removed from reality. Thank you for this video.

Thank you also for your book list that you have given us. I love this book and look forward to listening and gaining more knowledge of we as a society may grow with more understanding and wisdom through right action and how to approach it with others. With deep appreciation and reverence. Clarice Lispector, Pablo Nerrruda, their books hastened me to read more South American writers. Also, Inazo Nikobe Bushido: The Way of the Samuai Code, The Sound of Japan.

@masoodraja Eliecer Nefflai Reyes Basoalto, better known by his pen Pablo Nerrruda was a Chilean poet- diplomat and politician who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1971. Clarice Lispector, amazing author. She had moved from Germany as a child to Brazil. I loved her work. I left one out that from also came from Argentina , Jean Luis Borges, short story writer, his collection of poems and stories are now considered classics of the 20th century, and one believe he never won a Nobel Prize and he is one of the greatest writers of the 20th century. Quote: " If God means for good, if no, I don't believe.

Hi, Dr. Raja. This video, as always, radiates with your immense optimism and love for humanity. Your interests in history and clearmindness are so invigorating, and you always leave me with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. I'd love to know what books you have on those bookshelves back there so that I could incorporate additional resources into my daily studies that I know would be coming from a trusted source of wisdom and insight. 🙏🏼 May your day be blessed with an abundance of joy and comfort.

Although there are some that are on your list I have read. I feel enormously connecting to more consciousness writers of whom one may grow more with understanding and how may extend to one another in a way that will bring freedom. Would you please make a video on maoists in India? Because their struggle is also for nature, land, jungle, aboriginal people, and wretched people as a whole. If you kindly make a video, we can learn from you the about that movement too. Thank you.

@@masoodraja it’s your message that I want to spread in a time where I’m watching the hypocrisy demonising Senator Payman for having the courage of her convictions, supporting Palestinian statehood and how imperative it is we must unite. It’s very disheartening living in Australia but then watching all these Western governments kowtowing to an oppressor committing genocide I need to do something useful.

There is a problem here sir. We must also discuss, explore, as to why and how the Zapatistas failed. Not so much because their vision was faulty, but the fact that current law protects the rich and castigates the poor. Which was the case in Mexico (EZLN) and still is. Until we do not question the entire realm of private property and wealth, all such revolutions are bound to be destroyed by those who own more and more, while robbing and defeating (legally) the rest.
@masoodraja
@masoodraja 9 дней назад
Thank you. I don’t think the Zapatista’s failed. Saying that presupposes that their struggle had a terminal point of arrival. What they offer us is a lose model of constant struggle against the forces of power and wealth. We can learn from them just as they learn from the challenges they face. They have also protected their autonomous territory, developed a system of governance, education, care and have a balanced local economy despite the power of Mexican state and private paramilitaries. I would recommend reading a little bit more about the movement. The first thing that we will have to learn could be to stop thinking in result-oriented teleological mode.

@@masoodraja Hi Sir.. by fail, i mean their values were quashed and not allowed to spread (reach true potential). Surely they have done great work within a specific regions. Thanks again for the presentation.
@masoodraja
@masoodraja 7 дней назад
@@AudioPervert1 Thank you. In fact, if you read up on it, Zapatismo is now a global phenomenon and in Chiapas the Zapatistas still hold their autonomous territory and they have changed the national politics of Mexico.
