Nice to see you back JG! Another great video. I agree camping in the heat is brutal especially packing it in! Can't wait to see that little shelter in a winter video!
Hey buddy ! Good to see ya back in the woods, I was starting to worry about ya ! haha I knew you were busy with everything. man that camp is looking really nice ! I personally think you should put some black metal roofing on there haha thanks for taking us along ! Cheers bud !
Hello Joshua ! Good to see ya again. It’s been a while my friend. How are ya? I’m really loving that cozy cabin! It looks like it got a bit cool that night. 😊 oh that breakfast was looking mighty delicious! Yummy! You take care and see ya next time . 😊👍🏻❤️
Just discovered your videos recently, fun to watch. I'm getting too old and lazy to backpack in and build a shelter with a saw and axe but admire those who do. I love to do the overnight camping with atv and tent though. Lots of secret spots in NB to camp.
Glad to see you back. Had been actually thinking I had not seen a vid recently. Still quite mild though for mid-October, especially in the afternoons. In the grand scheme (of world-wide RU-vid especially) I do not think I am too far away from you, I am in Freddy Beach. Hope all goes well for lots of winter videos but one can never tell now a days.
Great start and good to see you out again. Of all the shelter builds I've seen, yours is the cleanest with precision lengths for walls making everything fit tight. For triangles, I'd keep going with wood cutting. Bows won't last and you'll be disappointed. If you can, cut a longer ridge pole so the roof extends to protect the walls (depends on how long-term this shelter is intended for). Meals are looking good and are quick and easy favorites. Looking forward to the next one! Cheers! Pete - KI7LIL
Hey Peter. All great tips and I'm going to use them. I think the wood going up the sides is going to be best for long term. Didn't think to extend the roof. cheers.
My friend, you are the peace of mind that dwells in hearts Thank you for being in our lives, you are a blessing person in existence, may God protect you ⚘❤
Great video 👍. Change out the ridge and top logs on long walks. Make the new one's two feet longer for a 1' overhang to keep water and snow off the walls. Also roof rafters make 1' longer for the overhang on the side walls. Thanks 👍👍.
