Why don't you put the fish smoker in the fireplace? And why do you waste sawdust and leftovers from making fish smokers until you have to chop more wood to make a new fire?. That's all, the rest is very good to do unless you don't clean the fish where you take it, because you don't take both the fish and water with you. Even though it would be better, this can be done if the smoking area is above the fireplace. 👍👍👍

Use a chopping board that way you don't blunt your blade! When when starting a fire with a firerod don't use blade side only the back of the blade that way you blade will be in good condition! I myself prefer fixed knife 🔪🇧🇩🇬🇧🙏🍺
