Ha, that's actually a hold-over from an older version where I was worried about token counts. I *think* the max number of tokens for this Bart model is 1024 (which will usually be more than 2k characters), but I figured to save time and compute I could leave the truncation in, and worse case I get a summary of just the first part of a given article. Testing it without the truncation and it works just fine by the look of it :)
