I'll be starting my MK1 shortly, so I truly appreciate this video. As you say, making "mistakes" and highlighting issues will help the rest of us get it right. I also have a series of Eduard mkix's and have learned you can easily end up with the wing being too low. Which is the opposite of the problem here.This happens if the cockpit tub isn't perfectly aligned and sitting high enough in the fuselage.

Mr Waldron, thank you for you insights in this review. I have this kit along with a Tamiya/Italeri Hawker Hurricane Mk I and a Eduard Weekend Edition Bf 109 E4 that I am building as part of my Battle of Britain 80th anniversary commemoration. Your insights into the possible issues is immensely helpful. I love this new Advanced In Box review format. I hope it will continue with other kits as well as this one. 5 stars.

Thanks for that review, yes our missteps can be learning moments for others. However I don’t think you are totally at fault here. I found the same fit issues on my MkXVI bubbletop, though not such a gap at the wing root join, I did find that un even torsional pressure created a step at the forward wing root area, not hard to fix but not what quite you expect from this maker and it’s great reputation. Keep up the good work, will follow this...

What are those clamps you used on the wings, look like something I could use, but don't seem to be able to find.

I'm a lucky man : my niece has a girl-friend in South Korea who was able to send me some Mini F Clamps. Here is the answer from TAKEOFF Models to whom I asked the question : ” I bought it at a Korean internet mall at the following link -> smartstore.naver.com/kbc09mart/products/221038106 unfortunately they do not sell to foreign countries and I don't know how to get it from abroad.” Maybe if all the model makers asked Amazon, for example, to put these Mini F Clamps in its catalog ...... I asked Amazon France and I'm waiting ..... This tool is really amazing, especially for me who am a beginner model maker !!!
