Sir, your patience and craftsmanship are truly astounding. I learned many new terms watching your short video and appreciate that you shared it with all of us. I hope you are still enjoying the fruits of your labor and wish you fair winds and happiness.
its been a week, i have been looking for various articles, journals & videos on construction of boats. this was the one, which i was waiting, and as the music pepped up, my heart beat kept racing up. I am so fascinated, i wish you could see the joy on my face. i wish i could learn from you!
Hi Paul, I have an Oughtred Ness that does not have a lifting rudder. It's about the same size as Fedelma. I want to build one but I don't have any plans or measurements to work from. Any ideas where I can get plans or even just a drawing of the shapes I need?
Beautiful boat. I've consulted your video(s) numerous times while building a Tirrik here near Austin, Texas. My impression is that your version is unballasted and has a solid mast. Is that accurate? Also, where did you find the hardware for the centerboard control lines? That's a neat setup.
First you build a wonderful ship, then you put white paint on. What an pitty. What's wrong with seeing that wood? How about varnish? Build another one, please.
