A fairy tale that is born before our eyes !!! The process is fascinating: it seems that everything is very simple ... And at the same time you understand how much work, patience, experience and imagination are behind this seeming simplicity. My deep respect to the author, certainly a brilliant MASTER !!!
@@alangomezcraft Hello, I am writing to you from Colombia, I want to start with naval modeling, I have almost no resources but you could help me by sharing the plans for that project
copying is always fascinating , you can't give wages but you get all the contract models ....? don't follow me .. even after I have resigned you and your housekeepers enjoy .......... bloody Gomez rascal now whose birthday you are celebrating Surya kumari or Surya Kumar ?
It takes a certain type of masterbuilder, to know what to do to fool the eye. Here is an astonishing model, build completely from every day items, and it looks far better than many so called professional model kits. Congrats to an exellent replica, you Sir, are a true artist.
Absolutely fantastic. Equally impressive was compressing it into a 19 minute video that showed incredible detail of the project. Excellent video and craftsmanship on the model.
Amazing build, hats off to the hardwork and dedication that has gone into the making of this absolute beaut. No expensive tools, no lazer cut parts, no 3d printed cannon just pure idea and craftsmanship. And absolutely remarkable job done.. however, A few details that were missed 1. The steering wheel 2. Missing window on the rear end of ship 3. Lower deck cannon flap covers 4. Cargo entrance door 5. ( the flags are waving in the opposite direction of the wind ) Overall an amazing build, truly remarkable !! 10/10
The cargo doors are present in the middle-aft of both sides, the 'missing window'(rear gallery) is also present, just not as pronounced or fancy as they might have been. The wheelhouse is located below the poop deck, which appears pretty hard to access at this scale.
Absolutely fascinating! I love miniature models and have even build 1/4 scale replicas of a couple of my guitars, so when I started watching this I said to myself: “I could do this!” That feeling went away about 3 minutes into the video! Great job!!
It´s fascinating, how you built this ship. It’s unique, how you made the details. It’s a brilliant work of art! I build steamships by myself with help from my technical teacher. Now my biggest but my first project is to build the RMS Britannic. The sistership from RMS Titanic. The Britannic is known as a hospital ship that sunk in WWI. And my inspiration is, how the Britannic look between her building time and the usage as a hospital ship.
Sederhana namun memukau. Terimakasih yang sangat teramat besar kepada master. SANGAT LUAR BIASA.
I often wonder when I watch these amazing videos if the people who make them have actual experience building full size things or are engineers of some sort. I myself build big giant models! Things that dig in the dirt, but I would love to make something on a very small scale.
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent. I have watched your videos and love the ships. I have always sketched and love art. I have always wanted to create these old ship. You have inspired me with your wonderful techniques. I am putting the finishing touch on my favorite ship, the black pearl. I have enjoyed it. And plan another fun ship project.
Careful touching rubber cement with bare skin, most have solvents which are neurotoxins. Always use gloves, work near an open window, and have a fan blow or suck the airflow out the open window. Other than, your artwork is beautiful. Cheers!
Much skill and dexterity displayed for a very entertaining watch. With respect, I would suggest more detail on the back exterior (captain's quarters) which looks stark and unfinished, a stearing wheel, and some paint. Best wishes to you.
For appearance of used and old sails I recommend to soak the fabric in camomille tea and get yellowing of it. Also you can scratch a bit the fabric with a piece of fine sandpaper...
Beautiful. Koodos. A masterpiece. ADVICE: Your model and the positions of the flags and standards indicate that she is Running Before The Wind, or for the layman the wind is coming leeward, from her stern. I strongly suggest you put the appropriate fan off her stern and blow that leeward gust into her sails. For indeed as it stands her sails could look more robust and happy.
Hi Alan, compliments with your beautiful work. May I give you a tip? If you soak the sails in black coffee and let them dry, they will look more natural. Just an idea...
Hi good nigth congrautlations for the people who made posible this video,, This great job,,, all an art,,, All a dream get to make this beautyful SHIP,,, have a good time, your friend Oscar de Playa del Carmen Q R México,,,
That was probably the most impressive scratch build I've ever seen, great work!! Where on earth did you get all your measurements from, just reference photos? So cool!
Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very nice job done. It would have been more realistic if the sails had been inflated. In this case, you can apply glue or water sealer to the fabric and place it on a curved surface to dry and then hang it. thank you

This is very impressive! I have never tried building a ship model before. I usually build aircraft, but this makes me want to attempt something new. Nice Work!
Beautifully built! I am trying to get started with this craft/hobby; how much is the cost of the raw materials in a build like this? Is it worth it to build from scratch money-wise, or would you advise me to start off with a pre designed build and materials from a brand?
