This project foundation looks really good. I like that you’ve put some of the pipes for the rainwater in the pillars, rather than breaking the walls to insert them after. Great job so far 👏🏾

Rainwater pipes should not go inside the pillars as they will weaken them. The pipes can be placed besides the pillar allowing to have their full size and strength.

HI Prince and Nikki, at the 16:17 mark you put a PVC pipe inside a column. That makes the concrete column hollow because the PVC is hollow. This may not provide the strength or solid pillar that you need. Overall though, I think you are doing a good job. I appreciate you and Nikki.

This is a feature column serving the terrace only. The calculations included an allowance for us to run the drainage pipe through. That’s the only way to drain the terrace and secret roof efficiently. Thanks.

@@princenikki The price list has 300mu and 500mu for the DPM. Any additional benefit of using 500mu. Is thicker dpm necessarily better?

The choice of DPM depends on the ground conditions. 500mu is recommended for areas with high water table.
