I build a micro atx gaming pc in The Tower 300 from Thermaltake. I give an overview of the case, then I build in it, showing you the build process. Follow me on IG: / renegade_rabryn
Planning my first build and just bought this case yesterday. Just found your video and it’s given me so much more confidence! Thank you, such a helpful walkthrough.
I'm planning to get this and I like that it fits full size GPUs. I'll pry be keeping it for 10 years like my current old 2013 era cooler master ATX case lol
Bro this is such an amazing video. I haven’t built a pc since 2017 with the help of a friend and was low key scared to build a new one, this video was so helpful and the commentary is great. Thank you man!
Same, I was gonna build a ITX case but this is still a reasonable size while being able to fit a 5090 when that comes out. I love how much you can see your hardware.
If you make it big here on YT, and I am sure you will, please don't change your review style. Authentic up to the possible problems that the user might encounter. I appreciate this review so much. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing this info. I have an old Thermaltake Core V1 (cube) build and am thinking about using this case for my next build. I like the accessibility of their cases.
I am so glad I found this channel! I love building PCs! Keep up the great work! By the way, I enjoyed the futuristic music and commentary! Was that an RGB controller in the back?
I fell in love with this case recently. The only things i would've done differently is the orientation of the AIO pump on the CPU with 180 degrees rotation so the hoses would be on top instead of on the bottom. Just to make sure there's no possibility of air staying trapped in the pump and also with that orientation the cables align perfectly with the hole you pulled them through in order to route them to the back of the case. And maybe use custom PSU cables just for the sake of visuals. Oh, i would also love to see how it performs under some stress tests and what temperatures you get. Great video, good luck on your RU-vid journey! P.S To answer your question, I've built all my PCs and some for my friends as well in the last 20 years, and i love it.
I don't think thats an issue, the air will go to the highest point of the loop the pipe orientation doesn't matter in that regards, so in his case the air will be trapped at the highest part of the rad were the cable is there and not the cpu pump. if you wanted to avoid all possibility you would be better to flip the rad if possible so the air traps at the top of it away from all cables. There would be vary little difference with your suggestion to how his is.
just got mine yellow version with an artic freezer 3 AIO just need a few more parts then time for my new build. Thanks for the vid i will use this to build my own.. Keep up the great work.. i was stuck between this or the h9 flow but i defo think this way sexy
Hey man awesome build! Planning to use the same aio. were you able to use the artic aio as an intake just like in the video aswell? Im a noob and idk if that aio is good out of the box or if I have to unscrew the fans or something.
I like your review. You covered everything and camera shown all parts of the case. i just hope Thermaltake would take into consideration in the future for the plugins of motherboard to be stiil accessible in the top of tower.
Just finished my own build of a Tower 300 case (in white/snow)! I wish I ordered some custom cables as the thick and stiff PSU cables I got from EVGA made this really difficult for me. This also was my first-ever solo PC build… heck of a trial by fire in terms of cables management! lol I adore the music choice for this build video! Please continue using it! I felt “lost in the depths” of cutting-edge tech! Like something out of the BrayTech facility in Destiny 2! Or maybe Mass Effect! Hahaha
I know this video is 3 months old but if you're still curious about why thermaltake included the lcd screen bracket. It's because of minimum quantity manufacturing requirements. The fact that its included says, they don't expect to sell a lot if the screens for this case. So its cheaper to just mass produce the braket with the case. Remember, thermaltake uses the same screen in a bunch of their cases, so that part is also mass produced. But requires a different bracket for each case. It's also likely that they have loads of those LCD panels sitting in a warehouse, and including a cheap bracket in every case will help to move stock. Sorry, I geek out over manufacturing and logistics.
Any reason you installed the rear fan as intake? I Wonder if there's any issues with airflow with that fan mounted on the ssd bracket instead of the fan mounts on the rear panel? TT has a detailed thermal section on their site, it's pretty thorough. They recommend the rear as exhaust. Oh and music was good.
The presentation, content and music is all very good. I looked for a breakdown of the parts used, maybe I missed it. Only saw someone asking for the same thing. What your thoughts about the peripheral connections at the top? I have heard some negative comments on that. Did you need any extension cables in the build?
Great content Rabryn. Enjoyed the nice chilled out build vibe - sweet! I was sold on the 200 but after seeing your 300 review, I’m a bit torn between the two. Any thoughts? Also my main concern with both cases is access to the GPU IO ports… seems a bit weird how it’s accessed from the enclosed recess at the top of the case - kinda awkward right? - what’s your view on that? Anyway, keep up the amazing work man 🙂
I haven't built in the 200 so I have no opinion on it. Depends if you want a matx or an itx system I suppose. The io port access isn't too bad. It would be annoying if you're constantly plugging things in and out of it
that's what I thought. I want to say it will be fine but my ADD kicks in and tells me otherwise...lol I was looking at the EK Nucleus AIO and pictures even show not to mount with the tubes up though many people do it with no concern.@@Renegade_Rabryn
I soo love this case now. I havent used a case in a while cause i have thick fingers and its hard to find a case that allows this kind of access. Also, when you do these builds, maybe put them up for purchase, I would buy a build from you.
I have been thinking about replacing my case which i am using right now the Thermaltake Divider 370 TG which is a beautiful case but i wanted to go with something a bit smaller and different (which is also the reason for the case i am using now which no one really has it) because i am tired of seeing all those NZXT and Lian Li cases and like to go for something unique.
i just got a 4080s to find out it doesnt fit in my case lol. does this fit a 4080s? if so ill probably be buying this immediately! how are your thermals with it?
Not sure if you found an answer to your question, but yes, a 4080 Super does fit inside this case, both double and triple fan. Only difference is, with the triple, there is a piece you need to remove in the lower center-left of the case where otherwise the drive would collide. I believe the removal of that particular piece is dedicated for creating room for larger drives. Best used as an intake on the left side of the case for orientation, as Thermaltake suggests.
The Branding that some of these companies blast on the front of their products is a real turnoff for me... but over all the case is cool looking for a Micro atx. Is this the same case that can lay on its side? Videos Are getting better Bud. Can really tell the effort you are putting in now. Keep it up!
Damn I knew there was something I forgot in this video.... yes, the case can go on its side, but, you need to purchase the stand separately of course 💰 💰
This is a very informative and well structured video. Thanks for covering this case and showing everything in great detail. However I personally dont like the music and the blue light made it difficult for me to see everything. (thats a me problem though)
Let me be honest. The music is not my favorite. I liked the build video, and the commentary. Can you fit a 280mm AIO were the tubes from the radiator are at the bottom?
I have this case. Are you asking if a 280 rad would fit in the bottom above the psu shroud? Or are you asking if he can run the tubes on a 280 rad coming out of the bottom instead of the top, but still mounted on the side?
I don't know how many computer I have built by now. My first was a 386 about 1993 ish. It's not something I do for a job. I repair clocks and watches so wind up toys.
Good review. I like your take. Music in the vid is nice, but I think in this one it's a bit loud, it's competing with your voice at times. Personally I like lo-fi type music. Use only Royalty free , don't want copy right strikes!!!
If you didn't find out already, yes, a 4090 will fit, both dual and triple fan setups. Triple requires you to remove a panel on the case that would collide with the lower part of the drive, but it seems this piece is tailor made for that situation.
