In this video, the Good Dude describes a large hobby project. Despite selling itself as a hobby video, there is very little hobby*ing* in this video. Instead, the viewer is subjected to irritating and self-indulgent shots of the presenter's face. These are accompanied by the dull and poorly mixed recordings of the presenter's voice. The project itself is somewhat interesting. It has a clear, though somewhat unsophisticated, aesthetic vision based on the shared cultural appropriation of Pre-Columbian American design motifs in both (a) Warhammer's Lizardmen and (b) Art Deco. The Good Dude argues that Art Deco is, in virtue of this shared inspiration, a natural way of representing Lustrian opulence. However distasteful the reasoning, the conclusion is sound. Two and a half stars.
