Thanks! It was a bit of a distraction that took more time from my main projects than I had intended, but it was a fun result. I'll be happy to return to these minis in the future and do some more conversion work! Maybe some big cloaks and some goggles and that sort of thing 😄

make snakes , then wrap that around wire such as a paperclip. then reroll. You now have a strong cord that is supportive and can be bent once the green stuff has set. Greenstuff is better than milliput for cables as it hardens with enough flex it can still be bent, where as milliput has no flex and is brittle.

Thanks dude! I'm keen to come back to them at some point to finish the conversion. I'm back on the lizardman/Seraphon train at the moment though. 🙏

Your spruevo-arm ended up looking damn good, and I'm a fan of the more elaborate ones too. Excellent work, I'll have to pick up some of these tools & materials and make my own! Keen to see the Bladed Cog in its final form. I might be inspired to make some of them too.

Hell yeah, man! I think the general structures of these translate to a bunch of different applications. I'm glad you liked them and hope the video was helpful or encouraging. Good luck with the Orks!

Man, I really need to get one of these rollers lmao. These turned out great!
@TheGoodMood
@TheGoodMood 3 года назад
They're super useful. If I were to buy the rollers again I'd probably grab the bigger version so you can use it for bigger projects as well. But they're really handy!

@@TheGoodMood I've heard of people who will wrap the green stuff around thin floral wire to make it more dynamically posable in 3 dimensions after rolling it out in one of these rollers. Have you ever tried that out? Seems like it'd be a good way to get more variation in your cables.
@TheGoodMood
@TheGoodMood 3 года назад
@@TheLichsLaboratory Oh damn that's a good idea! Thanks for the tip. I've got some floral wire bit had never tried. I'll definitely be giving it a go next time I do something like this though. That's genius!
@TheLichsLaboratory

@@TheGoodMood The floral wire I heard is really thin, almost like the wire in a twist tie, with one end of the wire sticking out to act as an exposed bit to help pin the tentacle into your project after it cures. Both ends can be exposed if it'll be attached to to two objects in theory. Hope that gives you an idea in the future!

Arnt the tenticle ones too fragile even if they harden? They are quite thin. Before watching this i was thinking of using metal rod and bending it but couldnt think of a way to get the ridges
@TheGoodMood

Green stuff remains a little flexible once it cures, so I've not found it to be too fragile. Still, if you prefer to use metal, then guitar wire is a good choice as it has the ridged texture (depending on the gauge of the string).

Good Dude, did you try the acetone ?
@TheGoodMood
@TheGoodMood 3 года назад
Not yet! Still yet to the build the pieces I want to copy. The aim is to get them done this month, so I should try the acetone before October is out unless I really fall behind on the hobby goals (which is always a possibility!)

Ah that's a brilliant idea. Are you already a musician or do you buy them especially for this?
